Some funny stuff to share~

I started smiling & thinking what do these kids have up their sleeves?
The way they intro the song.. they call it 'Trot' ---i have no idea what it means..
Is the nerd/geek/ 土包子 look very in now?
Jaejin's short fringe bowl hairstyle + round white rimmed specs + that funny voice of his = So Lol-inducing!!

And their costumes and wacky retro dance moves are so LOL-ing.
Can import them to Singapore? They'll look fitting for the 7th month Getai stage!! =p

But i dislike their new haircolor.. What's with vocalist Hingki's orange hair? Guitarist Jonghoon bleached his hair platinum blond. WTH.
Visual shock when i first saw them..
What is the stylist trying to do to them?
Show that they've matured from a guai1 guai1 college band to a more mature band??

Anyway, talking abt changing Korean hairstyles, I can't stop thinking about Dong Bang Shin Ki's..
Caught a lil resemblance between FT Island's hairstyles & some hairstyles that DBSK members had in the past.
DBSK as trend-setters?!?!?

-Jaejin's super short fringe first found it's way to DBSK's maknae (youngest) Max's head late last year. As for the bowl hair thing, it happened to Micky.

-Hongki's orange hair ---It was Xiah's colour early in 2009.

-Jong's platinum shocking blond.. it was Hero's hair color back in 2006.
Few Korean artistes dared to dye their hair to this light shade as most Asians can't pull that look off. But both of them managed to..
Amid much fan debate.
Previously, both of them had black if not dark brown hair since their debut, until this sudden CHEMICAL EXPERIMENT in the hair salon.

-They said Minhwan looks like the Junior version of Rain (from some angles, yes) so thankfully they didnt style him as Rain.. Lol..
South Korea doesn't need 2 Rains.. One is enough, cos i can't stand him -->personal bias..
Don't know any friends crazy over Rain, so i dare to voice it here. Hehehe..

What a strong cast of young idols from various popular groups..
But in this cut of the show, can't really see all of them.

The cameramen are kinda biased towards 2PM's Nickhun (i know he's a cute American with a good Thai-Chinese mix heritage) but constant zooming in on his oh-so-cute-it's-kawaii facial expressions as he watched the performance from the side of the stage.
Makes it hard to believe that the cameramen are guys.. Okies, maybe the video cameras are female *keke*



But thats not the main point.. The first part of this variety show feats acrobats from Europe/Russia?? I can't tell hehe..
Just like Caucasians can't tell the diff between Asians.. Be it Chinese, Japanese or Korean.. We all look the same to them.
So likewise don't ask me which country this European comes from.. Germany? France? Spain? Paiseh, all same same la hor??

Attempting to do an acrobatic stunt in mid-air while holding on to 2 rings..
Walau A... He succeeded in doing a flip (never mind the awkward moves).. He got stuck as he couldn't manage to execute a full 360 turn!!!
OMG! They had to lower him to the ground to spare him the agony + embarrassment.
A cartoonish ambulance appeared across the screen.
ROFL..

Woo la la, I'm good at finding self-entertainment.

Haven't been in the mood to blog.. Zzzz... Time flies when one's working:

Early morning wake up, prepare for work, reach workplace, start working....
Evening, head home, watch tv while having dinner.. Tired already.. There's nothing much that can be achieved in the few hours at home (minus Zzzz hours)..

Next day, it's the same cycle..
ZZZZZZZ..
Did she mention she changed job? Aka changed dept actually..
From Sales Dept to Admin Dept.. Now she's HR Admin Accounts Asst.. A lot busier with more deadlines to meet.. HR matters involve much paperwork too.. Leave forms, MCs, staff claims, etc.. She havent learnt enough to go on to the payroll part.. Hehe, if not she will know who-earn-how-much.. Hehs..
She likes to gain more work experience.. Though the pay still shucks.. Wth..
She's ever so fickle, spent almost a mth in Sales dept, got super duper sian by the repetitive nature of the job.. Got a change in dept unexpectedly, a 'fresh' new start.. A few more weeks passed~~~ See how long she can last..

She scrolled down the entries of her blog.. Enjoyed recalling the events, realised that she usually blogs in detail.. Long-winded storyteller??? Maybe..

Thats also how she can remember much of the happy times she spent with her friends..

To get herself started, she started this post with a photo taken from an interesting angle~^^
Wanted to self-take some photos by putting cameras on the small space beside the mall railings, the first photo turned out quite well unexpectedly.. The angle made us look so CUTE~
Subsequent 'deliberate' attempts to recreate this failed.. Somehow someone'll get cut out of the picture. So this is the best shot (although she wish she was 10cm taller or sth so she won't be blocked)...


Just came back from outing with her dearie sec sch friends.. CY, HJ, Mel, Si, XZ, YW. The last time she saw Mel was in May, 3 months on, Mel's amazed at her hair length.. Hehe.. And she hadn't seen CY who'd been in Europe for exchange for more than half a year.. A cosy gathering at Ajisen Ramen, the reservation of seats aren't allowed on peak period Sat nite.. Have got to 'manually book' seats, thanks Si who arrived early. As for Cloud? She arrived last =x Oops!


First time trying the ramen at Ajisen, not bad neh.. Just that her Spicy Octopus ramen set contains such small octopus that she forgot she ordered octopus ramen (need to toss and turn the ramen to find small bits of octopus) And the amazing thing was, she didnt know it was one of the few ramen that wasn't soup-based until the food arrived. Lols.. So she told herself next time she has to try eating soup-based ramen there as the broth is usually made with special/good ingredients. Overall, that 干捞面spicy enough, not bad neh..

After dinner, walked around TM, she bought a shiny bling-bling bracelet from Mini Bits.. Cos there was discount (nvm that she doesn't really wear bracelets)
And what else?
Started photo-taking session.. Hehe..

5 of them went to watch the movie The Proposal, she & Xz left cos it would be around 11+ when the movie ends.. She tired from work already, need to rest..
As if she did..
She watched tv, was online & stuff, did all whatever-not except sleep early.. Lols..

She hasn't gone to the cinema in like more than half a year? *gasps*
There's many movies she wanted to watch sometimes, so she end up not watching at all (to be fair?) hmm, no.. it's because she can't decide which to catch & she doesn't have movie buffs as buddies who'd jio her to watch the latest blockbuster/indie movie.
But XZ's many notches higher... The prev time she went to the cinema was in 2006 ---we watched King & The Clown at PS.. When told, she almost fainted~ *dots.. XZ u're pro!!*

So unlike typical young (also not so young) people.



She's entering the FT Island fandom..

Though she has already too lil time to pursue too many things she has in mind.

But that's just so her style~~~~

She is none other than Cloud!!!

CG 24's CLASS GATHERING...


First 'official' class gathering since we graduated from teejay..

The previous time i saw so many of them was at Verena's farewell party.. So that's why this is the much-awaited class gathering.. In Mid-July 09... One and a half years already wor~

Xiang ting couldnt join us as she's in HK then, when she saw the photo below uploaded by Leck on FB, she asked who's the guy on the leftmost side in the pic?
Several classmates commented on the photo after her, saying that guy's Di hui...

XT couldnt believe it ---DH slimmed down?!?!?

Lols.. There was a long string of comments which began to make the photo comment section look like a forum thread.
With 'snide' comments saying she's so bad, cant even recognise our dear former classmate..
And why he can't slim down after working out hard at the gym.. Hehe..

The truth is Di pangseh us... Went to a friend's 21st bday party.. Said will come later, but till 10+pm still no sight of him.. As for the 'new' guy? He's a classmate's bf.. Hehehehehehe..

Jia hui booked the tatami room ---yeah it's big!~
Just that it's hard for people on one end to talk to people on the further end..

This was a candid shot taken by Leck, i didnt act cute & pose for this --i just stepped into the room & saw many of them who'd arrived earlier --to much delight. Ahah! I look so happy =p


The food came in 'big portions'.. -----as in big bowls i meant.. My creamy prawn pasta came in a basin-like bowl, it's so huge, it can double up as a washing basin. To take a look at my pasta, i have to peep right in.. That lil amt lining the bottom quarter of the bowl. Lols.. Talking about effective space utilisation..
Whereas some other meals came in large portions, Qi en's one had both noodles & rice (or was it 2 types of noodles? -i forgot le) plus a bowl of meat (chicken? beef? -can't rmb too).. But the one i like most is the dessert i shared with Tian.. Raspberry shortcake --very small narrow slice.. Adorned with cute-looking raspberries^^

After having our fill with rice/noodles/pasta/soup/cake.. Washed down with lots of green tea, we wondered what to do next..

GAMES!!!

Hehe.. Hadn't played or watched people play this kind of 'waste-time activities' or rather 'bonding icebreakers' during get-togethers...


Darren & QE playing the whoever loses gets hit by the winning party.. Beside QE's Angeline.. The 3 of them took turns to play --打人不手软.. Sure pain one neh.. They ended up with reddened hands.. It's painful when hit and it's also painful when u use too much force to hit others.. Hehe.. I dont want to play..
Hehe.. It's more fun to watch.. And take pictures.. U can also see me in this picture.. Trying to angle my hp to take a shot..

Afterwards, we played the Frog game.. 一只青蛙, 跳进水里, ponk.. Take turns to continue the sentence.. Played the more confusing version of having to repeat every part of the phrase the same no. of times as the no. of frogs. Loser has to do forfeit.. Drink a SPECIAL concoction of soysauce plus pepper plus dunno-what-i-forgot.. Another forfeit we had was Dare & Dare.. Either way, the person has to do a Dare..

Nothing too outrageous.. WK & QL went to the adjacent room where friends gathered to celebrate a birthday, DARE? sing a birthday song to the bday girl. Hehs.. Not bad idea neh.. I followed them to the door of the neighbouring tatami room.. Ohs, it's filled with so many people too, no wonder so noisy =p
I spotted the vocalist of Superband II's 大风吹among that group of people. Never mind if u didnt watch Superband II --you can see him & his band on tv for F&N commercial. It was aired quite frequently in the past months on Chinese channels, not sure abt Ch 5 though.. Cos he sang a Mandarin song and seemed to have a rockin' good time with fellow bandmates.. Then tadah! End the commercial with them holding the drinks they're endorsing.

But i think majority of my classmates didnt watch the reality talent show? Hmm.. None of them seemed to have recognised him. Perhaps, recognise but ignore --just like me, cos he's not some hot big superstar worth getting excited about =D

Shall end it with another take of our 'class reunion' photo.. It's BEEN SO LONGGGG..
These 2 class photos were taken by a guy from the adjacent tatami room --filled with people celebrating a birthday. They sort of 'sabo' him to become our photographer, saying he's good at it or sth.. Hehehe.. So he tried to act 'seh' and took photos while in a funny act-like-professional photographer position.


After Waraku, as the number of people dwindled~~~ We headed to Raffles City for the 24hrs Starbucks/Mac.. Mac's sooo packed!!! Oh my, it's hard to tell it's already quite late, it looked more like peak lunch/dinner hour.
Luckily, we managed to find 2 tables vacated seconds ago by a group of people, outside Starbucks so we sat there & continued chatting.. 2nd round.. =p Neednt buy any drinks/food cos the tables are already cluttered with empty plates & cups..

7 of them went for 3rd round, at the nearby Chjimes for some drinks..
After lounging outside Starbucks, i left.. It's late already, i need to catch a train back home. Coincidentally, spotted June & her friends entering Raffles City just as i was about to bid goodbye to my cg 24 pals..
It's been a month since the gathering, i'm blogging it only now.. So i think i might have missed our some details..

Cloud can hardly believe she'd already left tee jay for sooo long..
Time flies gawk-damm quickly!!!
She finds it hard to find time to blog these days..

She likes her prev msn personal msg.. Stringing a series of names of Korean bands that she likes.. Formed from a random thought, but that random thought missed out my all-time fav DBSK.. Where to put them??

5 bands ---all guys la.. Expected hor?? Hehehehe..
She never thought she would care about Super Junior years ago..
She never thought the emotive husky voice behind all those lovely pop rock songs from FT Island is such a prettyboy.. She's pretty much in love with Hongki now.. Love that voice + watched tv shows that he hosted/guest starred in. Such a lovable character.. The guitarist Jong Hoon's eyes look so dreamy, face looks so perfect (ulzzang --correct spelling? i just came to know of this word).. AHHH..
Why didnt she care more about the members of FT Island previously, she was simply enjoying the songs w/o bothering to know whose's who in the band..
The 5 member band looks more like a boyband than a rock band^^

SHINE YOUTH FESTIVAL

It's been a month or so.. Havent blogged about this..
Forgot some of the details, luckily i've YW's pictures (I borrowed her camera to take 99% of the pics... the 1% refers to pictures with me inside LOL)

So here's the picspam to narrate the event~~

The event supposedly starts at 10am outside Ngee Ann City, but YW overslept --I sms her that i gonna be 5-10min late, then she called me said she just woke up... *i faint*
Made me wait for 1h, next time must give her morning call..

Wanted to join in the youth mascot parade initially, cos i see from the website that there's many free costumes available.. Turned out that those costumes are so crap la! Superheroes... But not nice.. Quite cheap-looking stuff. The Wolverine suit's actually yellow in color! (-.-''')
Then the most interesting on the list, pirate suit's alrdy taken.. The girl's costumes are mostly sexy, like race queen, catwoman, wonder woman...
Walau A! Like that how to choose?

So the next best thing is to take pics with and of the other people in costumes.

This girl's not very pretty la, neither her costume's very special.. But she simply enjoyed posing..

At the festival, there's many photography buffs/geeks (whichever u deem fit to describe) trotting DSLRs and snapping at every photo opportunity. So whoever's posing, the surrounding area will 'automatically' have a semi-circle formed by photographers.. Very funny sight!

Spotted this thin, pint-sized girl cosplaying as ? (i duno cos i arent into anime/manga.. not sure about it) She just look nice & cute with the cat ears and mini short dress..

Asked to take a pic with her b4 she left, as they're always moving around...

Yes, i look like a giant of some sort beside her..


Soon after, eagle-eyed photographers spotted this cute, sexaye kitty posing..
Many of them went forward and formed a big semi-circle in front of her..

I'm amazed at their formation speed^^

So she continued posing............. until the emcee for the event pulled her onstage (dunno for what)... Then the photographers (99% male) protested.. With sounds of 'Oei!!! Hey!!!' all around

Actually, YW and i didnt catch much of the performance at the festival, wanted to watch dance & cheer competition.. But YW's busy shopping, so we missed it..
All these pictures were taken during the parade, if according to plans, cosplayers/paraders are supposed to walk down a short stretch of Orchard Road, but there wasnt organised gathering of cosplayers.. All were busy taking pictures or having pictures taken.. Some actually packed up and left.


Shall try to describe this funny sight:

A girl cosplaying as some cool 'catty' lolita with long hair (wig?) with big curls ( & she has a furry tail behind her) carrying a backpack and holding a motorcycle helmet.. Walking away into the Orchard weekend crowd ALONE..

Looking at the photo again, I find the girl in pink bear some resemblance to 水蜜桃姐姐/Momo jie-jie --a popular kids' show host from Taiwan..

Hehe.. I wonder how old is she.. She looks 2 sizes smaller than the Pink Lolita who's already size XS.. LoLs..



I went near the stage to take pictures of the 'fashion models'~

Some of their costumes are nice, some of them are good posers, enjoyed the spotlight on the catwalk.. Some are more shy, didnt even pose for a split moment longer for me to take pics.. Hehe.. See for yourself:

Those who watched Ch U's SuperBand II, do yall remember his band Ethereal?
Yes, he's real tall, towering at 1.90m... But a tad too skinny-lookin..


XZ came to join us at Orchard at night... Watched J-Rock Concert.. Ethereal kickstarting the J-Rock Concert! I thought they would reserve the biggest name for the last or something.
Anyway, it's the first time i'm watching a rock concert/performance.. So CLOSEUP~~ Very loud volume~~
But the crowd's not very high ---typical S'poreans la, except several girls who're very high.. Head-banging to the strong tempo.. Heehee.. They got their hair messy~~

XZ & I had to shout just to talk to each other, while YW left halfway (she's craving for shopping though we'd spent much of our time shopping that day)
Ethereal performed several Japanese & Mandarin songs.. I've never heard of them all... Kunio's Mandarin pronouniciation's improved, but i reckon he would be better off singing in English =p


It's dark (at night... duh!) so the pictures dun turn out well even with flash..
Can't really see Kei at the back with his bright red guitar.. Kei's cool as alwayz^^
After Ethereal's performance, there's other J-Rock bands.. Liked one band's female lead singer's voice.. Quite unique... The song sounded familiar, like some anime song.... But i cant tell which as i dun watch anime..
Although this post is mainly on the Youth fest.. Most of the time wasn't spent watching/participating in the activities, but in many shops that YW wanted to visit..
Eventually, YW managed to buy clothes for her work/attachment... That long sleeved blouse/shirt look just dun suit her.. Hehehhehe..


Cloud's glad that she has finally managed to update her blog..
On the other hand...
Not too glad as she got wind of news that her all-time FAVE DBSK is having a lawsuit against their management company, while typing this post..
5 members.. Now 3 aren't happy with their contract terms =x
Are they going down the road of other popular Korean boybands like Shihwah & H.O.T?
No one's sure for now..
