The house 2 storeys down is undergoing renovations
They are kinda knocking down the walls and flooring
Not funny yeah
Can feel the tremors
& hear the drilling noises
Irritating!

But i reckon it's better than the last time the house right below's undergoing renovations. That couple living below made the walls fall like dominoes. To create more space.. yeah right! 2 person living in a large 5 room flat - not spacious enough meh? i bet even 3 elephants can live happily in that area~
The last time can really go to the toilet in peace. Cuz imagine the floor of the whole toilet is shaking... as though the whole place is falling apart during an earthquake. No joke kays? So people please dont make rash decisions & any oh how knock down walls & floors... creating great disturbances to new neighbours who will certainly dread the new neighbour even before he/she moves in.
Heard from my mum: her fren's house's ceiling lamp crashed to the floor after the unit above's over-renovations. See? I arent joking abt these disturbances & potential destruction. Luckily no one's in the room at the time of incidence.

Brrr.. Can they stop drilling & knocking & whatever not that produces high decibel noises?
Haiiz
Went out of house ytd to escape from the noise. But lazy to get out today after coming home from sch.

My neighbours
Lols it sounds like some boring title~
Just heard & saw 2 neighbours quarreling yesterday.
I wondered what triggered off their heated exchange, but i do know that the neighbour who live downstairs & came up to scold the neighbour living in the adjacent unit had a bad temper & kinda crazy as she can scold her daughter so loudly in the middle of the night that everyone can hear. But the neighbour who live beside my unit is not a woman to be strifled with, she returned the scoldings & that went on for quite sometime as none of them think they are in the wrong. The heated exchange in dialect was so vulgar that i couldnt understand a thing... hmm is that a good thing perhaps?
Guess what my mum did...
She real good can?

She shut the door...
So we wont be disturbed by their loud & crude remarks
Smart right?

Haha of course! She's my mum.
Cuz she knew that she cant help in any way. The neighbour from downstairs had came to ask my mum to help keep an eye on her rebellious daughter, but my mum refused. Not that she doesnt want to help, the problem lies in the strained relationship between the mother & teen. The more the mother wants to control the daughter, the more resentful she gets. They gotta sort out their probs themselves.
Am so glad that i've such a mum~

According to my mum, it's not the first time that both of them are quarreling. I bet there will be more coming up, since the neighbour downstairs kept complaining about how noisy they were. It cant be help la, the 4 room flat beside my unit houses a total of 11 people, with 4 kids/baby it doesnt take a genius to guess where all the noise are coming from. This is just part & parcel of life in a HDB flat. My neighbours upstairs love to sing karaoke even up to wee hours of the night. Maybe senior citizens dont need that much sleep? Haha. Gradually we got used to it & now they stopped singing. It's either they lost their interest in karaoke or the poor, overworked karaoke machine broke down. Haha anyway that's a good thing.

I want PEACE! Not world peace like some eager-to-please beauty pageant finalist, but just peace in the neighbourhood kinda thing~

Hadn't been blogging for couple of days~ Hmm this week's a short & slacking week - i dunno why i was in school for. Haha only 3 school days and out of the 3, 2 days were basically crap haha like yesterday, no chem & cll tutorials make me seem so free in school. So what several of us did was to go surfing in the Hub, it's a really nice place to kill time in tj... lol

Tuesday: went out the whole day. Shopshop at two sales -Converse warehouse sale ( got a nice pair of 'high-cut' sneakers hmm actually i dunno what it's called, but i find it kinda cooL ) Met 2 of my cousins there too haha they bought a big bagful of clothes. Also Metro Sale at the expo last day - just look at the carpark & one would know that the place's packed with people. Bought a smaller keyboard from the sale, hope i can self-teach myself to play the instrument. haha or anyone wants to teach me?
Other than shopping my parents & my aunt went to dou1 feng1, dad insisted on checking out the area near Seletar Airport, which used to be a restricted place. There were nice houses bungalows to be exact.. my mum heard that the rental's around 1000+ so cheap can? my aunt said it would be really comfortable living there - the bungalows were spacious with large gardens, one family even built a swimming pool in the garden. I agree! The place's quiet yet not totally inacessible as bus 103 circled that area. After going around those houses with cool addresses like 1 Oxford Street or Baker Street (cuz they used to be occupied by the British), we didnt spot any bungalows with the 'For Rent' signboard at the gate. How disappointing! Haiz i've never lived in a landed property before, how good will it be to have this experiece neh.
Wanted to go IKEA too~ but the queue to get into the carpark was soo looonng that we gave up waiting & headed for Suntec City instead. (at least the carpark there bigger hurhur)

That was a FUN day~

Yahoo! I scrapped through my promos~ Teacher reminded me not to feel lucky but to reflect on what i had done to get this kind of grades.Okie I've got to admit, I'd been slacking my butt off even though i should be working my butt off in college. Blame it on lazy self... Haha i'm so un-Capricorn like (according to clover, capricorners are hardworking people who cant stop doing work, but it's just so unlike me)
Needa plan how to spend my holidays fruitfully neh~
Thanks to chem tutors for lowering the passing marks, enable me to scrap through chem & get a H2 pass. Woots...

P.S. I've put the song Perhaps Love from Goong here! So turn up the volume & enjoy~
OMG i love Goong princess hours

Just got back my results -it is S.H.I.T.! Lols~ My maths shucks, chem not looking good & pretty disappointed by my dear economics. i think i need just 2 more marks to pass my Chinese Lit & Lang... Haiz shall see how i can get those crucial sympathy marks. It determines my overall pass/fail for promos. So bless me!

Anyway, an interesting incident happened today. I hadnt seen a fight in school for ages, moreover in a jc's LT. Haha and i happened to be right smacked in it. It's between a guy classmate & girl friend of mine: it started with something real trivial~ the girl wants to sit with her girl friend & ask the guy politely to shift to the adjacent seat but not only he refused to bulge, he replied curtly that he was there first & she has no right to ask her to move..blahblahblah. How petty! I totally didnt expect him to display such ungentlemanly behaviour and scold a girl like that. Cant bear to see that arrogant face of his as he scolded her. FREAK! I was pretty pissed off by him. So the girl plonked herself onto the seat next to him in disbelief as he challenged her to stand there for 1h & he'll still not move.
After the checking of marks ended, he left to get more marks in another lec theatre. she moved his bag to another chair & took his seat. But somehow the bag slipped off the chair, but none of us wanted to pick it up.
He started scolding her for throwing his bag on the floor when he came back while she feigned ignorance. Until she called her a bitc* so she started scolding him. The girls in the row behind were shocked upon seeing this heated verbal exchange. Then he used paper to 'brush' against her face... okay u can call it a slap. So she retailated by slapping him 3 times. Woah! I admire her courage but i figured out that this was getting out of hand so i stood up, took another friend's bag, slung it over my shoulder, pointed at him & asked him not to fight with a girl anymore. That ended the fight. If it didnt I'll probably start to scold him too & i wont hesitate to swing that bag into his face if he dare to slap my friend again. He's in the wrong & started the fight in the first place!
After that, another friend hailed me as her 'heroine' but why me? haha cuz i've the courage to stand up for my friend when she needed it & she had heard of the girl's prev 'heroine-like' acts in pri sch. Blame it on the guy to pick a fight with the wrong girl. haha she's pro & with her you3 yi4 qi4 and super seh friend like me, i dont think he'll trouble her anymore.

This incident enabled me to see through my guy classmate's character...
Luckily all of the teachers were too overwhelmed by students queueing to get marks to notice the fight, if not all 3 of us may get into trouble. Not that i'm afraid though, but cuz i believe there were many witnesses around to see the fact that it was he whom provoked us. Looking back, i think it was really trivial matter being blown out of proportion, hope it doesnt hurt the 'friendship' b/n classmates...
Note the bracketed word~

kayaking+cycling=fun-filled saturday!

hahaha... went kayaking (PE elective) at National Sailing Centre located at the ulu-ulu part of East Coast Park, so took a taxi there in the morning with SY & HX. It was an all girl kayaking group, the guys just didnt turn up~ haha it was fun! As my group had an odd number OAC's claud joined me in the 2 person kayak.. heehee. it was such a last min kinda thing for her that she forgot she wasnt wearing a PFD (if i arent wrong, sth that looks like a lifejacket, though we were told it was not) Claud's very nice taught me the right techinques along the way, haha that's why i didnt end up like the other girls -capsizing & crashing up the shore and getting stuck there. But we didnt manage to practice the capsize drill as there the sea was infested with jellyfish. Ooh. this is the 1st time that i see jellyfish in the sea & not in places like the Underwater World~ they were white in colour, probably the size of a palm or maybe bigger. I saw up to 5 of them at the same time! They looked cute but cant imagine myself capsizing at that spot. Ouch! heard from OAC people that jellyfish stings are really painful.

After kayaking i joined 4 girls who wanted to go cycling & get tanned in the afternoon. And yes, almost all of us got a tan~ as i'm easily sunburnt, i'm the darkest red lobster... haha *glancing at my two-toned arms & legs now* It'd been a longtime ever since i last cycled at east coast park -cycled for 2hrs in the afternoon neh! cycled to & fro and cycled past NSC where we kayaked earlier on. Cycling's a whole lot faster than walking -it took us dunno how long to walk from NSC to 36 busstop to get out of the ulu place earlier on. FuN!to get to know new friends & exercise at the same time! JH was saying she hadnt exercised so much within a day for the past year.. haha i felt so revitalised & fit!
heheh~ should continue exercising to lose weight -sth that i promised myself b4 promos.

wanna go kayaking again! haha

yunn. at 11:59 AM

Had been busy for the past few days... going out every single day -ponning school for 2 days haha!

on wednesday i went to the newly opened Vivocity at harbourfront, crowds thronged the harbourfront area, which used to be pretty quiet in the past. Vivocity's very spacious so it didnt seem to be crowded as the crowds were dispersed around the mall. But i noticed there were more window shoppers than buyers, so many people outside but none inside some shops- haha.
after which went chinatown~ got a nice stone beads necklace at a steal -haha yeah!

on thursday, went k-boxing with BY was late for almost an hour... thanks to BY lah... woke up late & thought there's shuttle bus service everyday from Bedok to Parkway, it was only after arnd 15min that i realised that the signboard stated 'Available on weekends & public holidays'... OMG BY!
just before i left PP, i received a kbox leaflet that says with this flyer can sing 2-7pm at $6+++ for students. my first thought was wth lah didnt know that earlier..

on friday, went cycling at Pasir Ris Park in the morning with my parents. Heehee it's a great form of exercise! It'd been such a longtime ever since i last had a go at the swings! I was swinging so long that i couldnt get used to standing on solid ground for a couple of seconds after getting off the swing... Oops woohh~ No lah i didnt fall, i just had this weird buoyant feeling. in the afternoon, went kbox at marine parade with BY again cuz we calculated that it'll cost us less than $8 to sing the 2-7 slot with the flyer which states the promotion ends on 13 oct. Only to find out that students can only sing 2-5pm, but hello it was written as 2-7 in the flyer lehx~ not fair! What's worse~ the final bill came up to arnd $10 per person as the small bowl of titbit costs $5 and it wasnt included in the basic charge. Crap! bei4 keng1 le4! We sang all the way to 640pm wait till the kbox worker come & chase us out haha to make our 10 bucks worth it. Heehee

I'm back...
rising from the ashes of what's left after the promotional exams 'tsunami' swept by, leaving a trail of destruction that's beyond consolation & repair
how can i survive this~

chemistry & maths are like so difficult...
this time round it's much more difficult than jct at least i can finish answering the questions that i knew then.
now i can only fall back onto chinese lit & lang, my 'coconut tree' -my only other H2 subject
cant imagine if that coconut tree snap into under my massive weight
gosh how can i save myself from drowning the raging seas of promos

now i'm like sitting on a float to keep myself buoyant for the time being
wait till the results come the next week
see if i stay precariously on the float or capsize

//* imminent storm *//
//* keep clear of the shores *//
