Hope Mel mel get well soon... Went to visit her with si, hj, yw, cin, wq, jo, char at her house. She was her usual bubbly self but she couldnt open her mouth to speak as there was a template put into her mouth to keep the upper & lower rows of teeth together after her jaw operation. Initially she communicated with us by writing on a 'scroll' of paper...
She's on a liquid diet for 6weeks & consume liquids like soyabean milk & yogurt drink through a syringe attached to a tube instead of the usual goosebumps-inducing needle.
But when she got all excited & engrossed in our card games (taiti... correct spelling? bridge..) so she started talking even though it was straining her mouth muscles & her words were muffled. Her brother was surprised & asked his mom: 'huh? sis can talk orh?' haha
See? with friends rallying around, supporting... Can 'recover' soo fast haha
She even shouted after that... Hmm wonder how she did it when she could hardly open her mouth now.

take care yarh

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE!!!

I was at my cousin's wedding yesterday at Meritus Mandarin. It's in the middle of the Orchard shopping belt, how cool this location seems to be... Hmm... Well, i dun think so after yesterday's traffic jam & heavy rain. Orchard Road's packed with people and cars due to the festive season. Boohoo it took us so long to get to the hotel. Almost everyone else was delayed too. As expected the dinner was served late -at 9pm. Haha luckily i had eaten before coming if not i'll be one poor hungry piggy there. The bride looked pretty that day (ok.. she's supposed to on her wedding day) i like her white gown & red cocktail dress with nice details... I cant remember the last time that i'd seen her, but she certainly slimmed down to fit the nice gowns. The hightlight of the night was probably the screening of a video which showcases the couple when they were young... Those kiddy pics of them drew laughter from their friends... & photos of them together over the years. Initially we thought it was some professional was engaged to create the video, but when the credits come out, my cousin was the editor, supervisor... everything is done by him in other words haha

The more 'important' thing is the banquet food. Hurhur it was ok not very filling unlike other chinese wedding banquets which leave you so full that you have problems sleeping. The famous Hainanese Chicken Rice (ok it used to be famous, now i think the standard has dropped) wasnt as tasty, the chicken was cold & not-so-tender though the rice tasted good. Heard that the original chefs behind their signature dish left the hotel for greener pastures. I joked that they should get Li Nanxing from the Ban3 Wan4 Bao3 serial which is now airing every weekday night where he acted as a former 5star hotel chef specialising in chicken rice. heehee

The dinner ended at 11pm... Yawns... It's still raining then
Luckily the traffic jam's gone & took us less than half an hour to get home
Phew

jam.jam.jam... rain.rain.rain
makes the day so lazy so sian
lol but still i'm feeling happy for the newly wed couple!

Had a fun time with the gals at Orchard Kbox yesterday... haha
Being girls, we find taking photos fun... here are some photos taken in Pretty in Tokyo (with cindy's digital camera to save $) but i think we spent a long time in there and was pretty noisy... We tried to pretend to decorate our photostickers at the touchscreen outside the machine, but it was so fake that we gave up & strode out of the shop... hehe

Going to orchard during the festive season, how can we miss the great photo opportunity? haha even though the Xmas decorations arent fabulous this year, there were hordes of people snapping away too. See that picture where Cindy & i stood high on a concrete wall of the sidewalk? It was my idea as we wanted the streetdeco to be our photo's background, a pity the effect of the bright lights arent reflected in there. June & i took a photo with a 'warrior' who was advertising some duno-what-thing in the middle of Orchard Road with a group of fella warriors dressed in shiny golden armour. We were reluctant to approach the group a initially, until i discovered that there was a lady in the midst of all the guys... aha! so we approached the lady... it wouldnt be so awkward then.
It was FUN! haha wu ren bang rocks!

unedited version of a friend's blog entry

Oh what's up with me man?!

So bored~
It's like raining almost everyday... seems to me that it's announcing the arrival of Rain in Singapore next month. heehee not funny~ But it's good publicity for him anyway, the organisers can save on advertising fees, becasue it's free & covers the whole island.
heheh can tell that i'm absolutely bored eh?
yeah sian-ed..
chatted with clover yesterday, to think that's she's in Taiwan for quite more than a week now. Glad that she still remember me... never forget friends who are stuck in Singapore during the year-end holidays. You go girl! Taiwan's a fun place! Though they arent there to enjoy the sights & sounds, but to study, i think they'll not miss a chance to venture out for fun & adventure~

It's still raining!

First trip to IKEA megastore in Tampines yesterday night.
Of course i reckon nobody leaves the place without buying anything. There's just too many interesting things in there.
On the previous trip, my parents bought a nice sofa-chair which is so comfy that you can fall asleep without yourself knowing it after sitting there for sometime.
This time, bought a long mirror for just below $10... heehee i can stand in front of it to see if my outfit matches the next time i go out.
I went with my family & strolled in the meandering showrooms on 2 levels, the place is really mega... so BIG. Especially the warehouse product store whereby all the furniture or larger products were stored in numerous shelves. They looked kinda intimidating though, i suddenly feel like a Hobbit in the world of elves~ haha
I find the specially created showrooms that show how people can arrange furniture & make full use of whatever limited space they have. Living in 22m3, 55m3 apartments and etc.. Makes me wonder what life will be like in singapore years down the road. So cramped. Can really feel the 4 cold walls 'exerting' their 'strength' in such an enclosed area. I dun think i can afford a spacious apartment or house given the steep property & land prices in future. Unless i can get a high-paying job or marry a rich man or strike Toto/4D jackpot. Lol.
The supermarket store beside the showrooms sells a variey of Swedish food. Looks yummy! Whoa! Lots of people were queuing as Sweden imported food products are hard to come by in Singapore. I bought a carton of sweet oat cookies, Yes there's no typo error, the cookies are really packed in a CARTON. Haha this is the 1st time that i see cookies packaged in this way... How should i describe the carton? Think along the lines of cardboard cartons used to put fruits. The closest cousin to it is probably the ones for persissmons from Israel (sorry i only know how to eat but dunno how to spell the name)
And the sweet oat cookies are really tasty! The cookies are in thin slices & mildly sweetened, so it makes a great light snack & you wont feel full after feasting on it. Half the pack's already gone by now~ lol
Next time if ya go there, can buy some foodstuff to try... it's worth it! Really! Though the prices are steeper than the ordinary ones you can find in NTUC supermarket.

Yummy! Yummy! I love cookies!
Dont remind me that i'm getting fat just for this while heheh

Just switched to Beta Blogger~
I dunno what's the difference lah haha but i just switched to check out what's good in there.
It seems like users can edit the blog layout easily using the new layout instead of the original template option. I'll be testing that out soon, as i think i'll need some time to figure out how it works. Whenever i change my blogskin, i'll have a nightmarish experience of mangling with all those css codes & re-adding the links. As you can see ----> i've lots of links over there~
this post is kinda short, but i dun wanna crap further...
heheh feelin' good today after a yoga session at pasir ris park in the morning, i love the sea breeze!

FUN 4j clique gathering~
it'd been such a longtime ever since i last saw some of them... really miss them!
[cindy, si, hj, 2 chars, jo, wq, mel] -love yall-

We went to marina square for lunch & bowling
Though bowling on sundays are certainly much more X than on weekdays -$3.90/h-
This was the 2nd time that i'm bowling
My nails chipped again! Haiz i'd already cut my nails real short le (ok.. to me is short, it's long for some people) So painful! I tried to use my left hand to bowl instead, but i've yet to learn how to swing my left arm swiftly, so the 1st try's ball ended in the glutter. My friends told me to continue using my right hand. Ouch!
Haha nvm i'll definitely learn how to bowl using my left hand
Wanna train my versatility~
Some years back...
I use my right hand to play table tennis, so i decided to use my left hand to play badminton.
Yeah~ So my friends were surprised when they realised i'm using my left hand to play badminton =p

I love bowling!
heehee even though i still dont really know how to bowl properly -my ball tends to travel a longer distance in mid-air & lands on the bowling alley with a loud thud.

Hmm anyway i saw Anson Goh the Project Superstar contestant who got eliminated last thursday at marina square. He wore a cap which covered his hair, but i could still recognise him from his facial features haha because we were walking in opposite directions & he was within an armlength away.

<3>

Went to Sitex at Expo on saturday, the place was so packed & the road leading to expo carpark was so full of cars that cisco guards were needed to direct the traffic. I found out only later that there were 3 events in different halls going on, Sitex IT fair, Big Boyz toys & John Little sale.
As i stood at the entrance of the IT fair, i was like wow! so many people so many stalls, so many companies... where should we start? Haha
After my dad bought a thumbdrive, we left the hall, kinda unknowingly stepped into another hall (Big Boyz toys exhibition) For those who dunno, big boys toys meant cars, bikes, yachts & bicycles that can set you back at >$7000. Haha those are things that i can yet afford. Give me another 10years perhaps? haha

i love those racing cars from Japan
Heheh they are for real~
There are metal rod-like enforcements on the inner roof of the car & at the sides. This is probably a safety measure against the roof & sides from collapsing when accidents occur.

Heheh they look so COOL!

Hiak hiak~
One month of my holidays flew by~~
Whoosh! Whoosh!
so fast...
The wind is sweeping up the wrinkled brown & golden yellow leaves by the roadside & blowing dust & sand into my face.. Turning my hair into a bird-nest like mess~ ToT

Ok it's just my imagination

But yeah time pass fast when we're having fun
Mrs LH kept saying that lst year haha
Just that her definition of FUN refers to writing essays & doing comprehensions =.-

Just little ramblings about holiday homework
Why must tutors spoil our holidays with so much work?
And to complete so many maths promo papers from other schools is like so MI (mission impossible) for a maths idiot like me.
hmm... that's all for now
