Recently i pulled some large cardboard boxes filled with papers/stuff from the storeroom. Hoots, those are sealed boxes which hadn't seen daylight for ages.. Shall take this time to reminisce the old times & throw some stuff out. I'm sure i dun need some of these stuff from sec sch & jc.. Ditching majority of worksheets/files from sec sch..
As for jc stuff, i'll be keeping.. May have some use of it? Hmm.. Actually it's because i dun remember learning those stuff.. Strangely enough, i can remember what's going on as i flipped thru my sec 3 physics at a glance. But flipping thru j2 stuff.. I was wondering, what's those alien concepts about? I dun remember seeing this AT ALL.. My memory's deteriorating with age??!
Darn.. But i think the main reason should be the crammed style of teaching/learning in JC. It's simply a problem of information overload, before u can fully digest (or sometimes read through properly) the material/content/concept, u've to move on to another topic..
Yes, we can learn more if the learning pace is pushed faster to challenge us intellectually.. Stretch us to the max..
No, it doesn't help in long-term information retention.. And effective imparting of knowledge..
The human mind becomes a sieve.. Info goes in quickly, and oh i'll dissipate quickly into nothingness once it passes thru the thin net.. How ironic this education system is!
Before i digress into talking more about the irony, i shall focus on what i've seen.. Taken a peek into what i'd done in primary sch (i packed some worthy--to me only keepsakes together with my sec sch stuff) & secondary school days.. Those were the beautiful times~~ Yeah man, cos i spent that decade in schools that arent stressful AT ALL.. So i love those days~
Homework, tests and exams just seemed so easy then.. If only my intelligence can help me sail thru jc.. Hmm no, it didnt.. My happy-go-lucky-dont-need-to-study-till-days-before-exam ways just dun gel well with the jc system..
Why did i go back to ranting about education system? This time, the problem should me... the lazy me..
I admit..
How many of u remember 'The Young Scientists Award' badge thingy in upper primary? Gee.. I counted the files/scrapbooks.. I'd done 7! Went to look for the badges in the display cabinet.. There's actually a dozen or so badges available, but i cant rmb whats the rest now..
Wondering why lil Cloud was so fascinated at the lil badges that she worked hard to do science projects in order to clinch them.. Environmentalist, Astronomer (i rmb those 2 were the easy ones), Zoologist, Botanist, Ecology, Mathematician & Geologist (the young Geologist is the hardest cos i dun understand what's going on.. my bro just told me to copy parts from his lower sec textbook & so i did.. Hehe.. Other than that Geo badge, i completed every other myself. *lookin back in a proud manner* I rmb i wanted the 'Orthopologist' badly--forgot whats that long word.. Study on Birds kinda thing. Cos i like the badge with a flamingo on it.. Looked so nice.. But the project was too difficult for a pri sch kid to handle, i eventually settled for Ecologist.. Easier la, but the picture of a worm/caterpillar on the badge wasnt enticing..
Another thing: I saw my D&T's Isometric & Orthographic drawings. Spent sometime figuring out those stuff that gave me a lil headache cos the drawings on special triangle & square graph papers can make my eyes go (@.@) after practising for sometime.
Can still remember Design & Techonology studio's layout.. I like working with the big machines (i know some people are afraid of using machinery cos of the sounds they produce.. but i kinda like the sounds caused by friction between the wood and moving parts of the machine, of course.. i didnt tell the more squeamish girls that then.. I arent trying to mock them or something.. Perhaps i'm just different)
I think i miss those wood drilling/smoothening/cutting machines in D&T studio more than the sewing machines in the Home Economics room =p Though i'm quite good at sewing using the machine THEN (i've not touched one again since my home econs lesson ended) But i'm pretty bad at putting the thread through the machine's needle (step 1 to starting to sew using a particular colour) so i'm usually the last to start work. I can hear the 'rumbling' (i forgot the exact sound produced when the sewing machine's at work) noises from all around me... DARN.. And i'm still trying to get the thread into the needle hole.. =x Strangely though, i'm almost always one of the first to complete what i was required to do that lesson & pack up.. Guess i was fairly quick~ Hmm.. Efficient.. Thats the word~
Tuition stuff i found.. I'd Elementary Maths and Additional Maths tuition.. Taught by this very very nice Ms Ong.. I think she's still teaching at the tuition centre. I met her last year (cos the centre's near my house so i happened to see her alight at the bus stop) & she still recognises me though she hadnt seen me in years!! Hehe, she cant really rmb my name though..
Sec 3 Physics tuition was at the tuition centre so near my house (just next block)... My residential area's filled with schools (5 pri/sec schs all on a small stretch of road) and tuition centres (5+1 if u include a student care centre) The first tutor was a RJC graduate, taught me for less than 3 months before she quitted (i think it's cos of Uni admission)... She's not that good at teaching Physics, just copy answers on the board and asked me to copy. But i can still remember her.. Not for her teaching skills ---but for her looks: She LOOKS LIKE JOLIN Tsai! Hehe.. The young, slightly chubby faced Jolin when she first debuted at age 19. Coincidentally, i think my tutor Valerie was also 19 then. Wahhh.. I wanna see how she look like now.. As pretty as Jolin now? That would be amazing.. The class started with me as the only student, after which one more girl joined.. I was thinking if......................... The first student's a guy.. Perhaps the class will swell in size cos he'll pull all his guy friends in to attend Jolin-lookalike's lesson? Hehe.. Random pondering~
The next Physics tutor taught me for half a year.. Woots, she really rocks.. Armed with a sunny smile & big bright eyes, she brightens my day (and my mum's as she accompanied me to the centre) when she greets us~ Her name's Angela^^ She somehow had that amazing ability to make Physics seem easy to understand.. I've to thank her for improving my sec 3 physics.. Was sad to be told that she's going to leave this branch of the centre to work in another branch (T.T)
The next tutors that came in really shucks.. Really dunno how to teach sia!!!! I was really pissed off when the new tutor beat about the bush & when she finally reach the part which i dun understand, she said she's not too sure about it. *almost fell off the chair* Darn.. Made the impatient Cloud sit thru lengthy explanations (which was so simple) and couldnt answer the gist to the question. So i had fun shooting questions at her & seeing her fumble and try to explain.. Needless to say, i quit that tuition centre. But not before calling up to find the 'boss' (in charge) of the centre, requesting Miss Angela to be transferred back cos the new tutor's incompetent. But he didnt oblige... So i just stopped attending lessons, weirdly though, that centre didnt collect deposit, so students can just disappear if they dun want any more lessons in the following month.
In Sec 4 i roped in a group of gd buddies and joined another tuition centre (same one as my Maths).. The tutor's good at talking.. Teaching-wise was ok.. I'd an enjoyable time learning with my friends.. Heheh..
So much nostalgia~~~~~
The boxes lay on the floor on my house... It's blocking the way... I have to quicken my pace in rummaging thru for what to keep and what not to.. It didnt help that i'm 100% distracted by DBSK's 3rd Asia Mirotic Tour videos that was recently uploaded on Youtube.. Awesomeness~~~~~~~~ I wished i could be there... As always.. In my dreams neh.. I want to watch DBSK live in action someday, one day.. It's a MUST cos i dun wanna die with regrets..

Went Tampines again yesterday, this time with Julie, Mich, Grace & Diana ^^ It's the first time that all of them are stepping into Tampines 1.. Hehe.. Tamp is like my territory ya.. Kept seeing people i know.. Saw Perry from my sec sch just as i was crossing the popular road linking TM and mrt station. Then saw Sinyee.. Leck saw me walking by the Tamp 1 contact lenses roadshow as she was working there.. Didnt see her sms until much later.. Hehe.. Paiseh..
We had lunch at KFC.. Hehehe.. Always eating fried chicken on our outings.. Either KFC or Popeye's Chicken.. Woots, i like fried chicken, when they're crispy & fresh, so i like to dine in rather than have takeaways~ Had cheese fries too.. But the standards had dropped ages ago.. I've been missing the older version of cheese fries since i dunno-when..
There isn't much to shop at Tamp 1 actually, i may appear big, but there's not much shopping places.. A lot of restaurants though.. But as a group of jobless students, it's budget budget neh!! No restaurant-dinings at the moment =x
I like Yamakawa Supermarket^^ Selling Japanese food imports.. I bought a grape juice with jelly in a small metal bottle.. Cute purple bottle yeah! Next time i shall come back to try other flavours like peach. J, M & I also bought bread from Yamazaki ...... the entire name's very long can't remember.. Anyway, it's a bakery specialising in Japanese breads. Mich's excited to see Strawberrry Sandwich --she thought that only exists in anime.. Hehe.. Cloud's no anime fan so she doesnt know anuthing about it. She just find the strawberry's in the sandwich kawaii, but it's expensive $2.80 for a small sandwich neh =x if not i would wanna try it! The Japanese seems to be a creative bunch of people, putting their interesting ideas into food development. I like the strawberry ice cream --not the usual type, but a strawberry emptied to stuff in vanilla ice cream & frozen together with the strawberry. When u eat it, it'll be a fusion between slightly sour strawberry juice & sweet ice cream. Awesomeness!!!!
And as if my fascination of Jap stuff isn't enough.. When we went Uniqlo --touted as Japanese Giordano.. I can't help but buy a hoodie vest.. It's on discount! Yippee! I set my sights on that vest last thur when i was there with Clover & Sky, lucky i didnt buy it right away. Cos this week, the hoodie vests and jackets are priced $10 cheaper. Hehe.. I was tempted to buy the pink-purple hoodie jacket.. It seems pretty cosy! =D
There's an interesting store at level 4 or 5 (forgot) called Xin tian di.. It has 3 LCD TV screens playing DBSK's T Concert 2008. Jul's the sharp-eyed one who spotted it first.. She shouted DBSK!!!!!!!!!!!! Mich walked a distance away so she couldnt hear, so Jul went to pull her in.. Hehe.. While i was rooted to the floor, busy admiring the boys dancing on 3 TV screens. Bravo! As to wheres the link between DBSK and the store.. Hmm.. I wonder, cos they arent selling korean or japanese stuff, neither are there music CDs or DVDs on sale. Just clothes & bags.. Nothing of interest to me... Hehe.. Just DBSK^^
There's another shop on the same level called Young Generation, i like the umbrella in the metal bottle designs. So cute & convenient! No worries about having to find a plastic bag to put a wet umbrella, just put the umbrella back into the bottle and cap it. Tadah! It'll be done! At promotional price of $10, i found it cheap and was interested to get a baby pink umbrella, but the kawaii one i was interested in, there wasnt a new one available.. Bleahs.. =x It would be great if they've a yellow umbrella too~ I miss the bright yellow umbrella i used in my sec sch days.. But it's rare to see nice yellow umbrellas on sale these days.
This morning, i went for my dental appointment.. Ate economical rice takeaway --chilli brinjal & curry vegetable. My economical rice dishes choices' faves^^ I added kimchi (just bought from Seoul Market in Parkway Parade -a korean supermarket with lotsa korean food hehe what else?) to my rice & veg. So it's Kimchi + Chilli + Curry = My delicious Lunch! Heeee.. I'm subconsciously into hot food =p But it's not as hot/spicy as it seems.. Cos i didnt even need to grab a sip of water throughout the meal.
Saw on MSN news that theres Patient Zero in Singapore. Some SMU student sia.. Wah liao eh.. Thanks lots for bringing the H1N1 virus into our country. Highly educated youngster dunno it's not appropriate to visit US in this period? Got brain one or not? WTF.. Sure kenna scolded by people.. Last time the girl who brought Sars to Singapore didnt know it herself cos it's was the beginning of the worldwide outbreak, so she's innocent.. but this time? It's been in the news everyday for weeks.
So i wonder why this idiot want to go New York & come back now.. Student only what, got what big business to do? Don't go NY his/her company in NY will collapse meh? Haiz.. So suay.. Our country will be in many countries' news tonight. Btw it's reported that this fella went to a Bedok/Tanah Merah clinic... Anyone of u happen to visit a clinic in that area recently? I hope not ok.. Which also means that this baka is a East-sider.. Haiz.. Lucky i went Parkway not Bedok today~

Yuwen's 21st birthday surprise celebration at seafood restaurant on Friday..
This celebration was planned by her other clique whom i barely know, so we just knew the timing and the vague venue.. Didnt even know which restaurant it's at & how are we supposed to 'pop' out in front of her.. Hehe.. Turned out it's at Zhen Fa Huo Hai Xian.. Gosh.. I arent a seafood person lor.. So i think i ate more desserts than seafood or meat. I'm born with a sweet tooth^^ Saw lots of prawns --live prawns.. We couldnt finish them. And crabs --no idea how to eat the crabs so i didnt touch any. The chicken satays are nice, succulent & juicy!~ Yummy!
I think i stuffed myself full by sampling all the desserts --mango & peach cheesecake, chocolate eclairs, chocolate cake, coconut cookie-cake... I like the chocolate fondue too.. It's a pity that the chocolate fondue fountain stopped brimming with warm choco just as XZ and i were about to dip our colorful marshmallows into them. Bleahs... We've to make do with dipping them with the remaining choco dripping around the fountain.
Later, i was wondering why the staff members were in a hurry to clear our tables of utensils since we hadnt indicated any intention to leave. We just chatted there for hours. It turned out that YW's bf bought a cake for her.. Hehe.. Coconut cake encased in chocolate cream.. Bleahs, i dont like the white coconut core of the cake.. Not nice not nice! Hehe..
Had fun meeting up with Mel (who hadnt been back to Singapore for a year), Si, XZ (who are busy with their attachments), Cindy (who's also enjoying sch holiday).. Didnt interact much with YW's other clique as they are also having fun on their own. Took some pictures that day even though we arent looking good --- the restaurant's air-con isnt working well and with everyone eating steamboat.. The rising temperature make us perspire.. Mel's face turned as red as the red cooked prawns she was hauling up from the steamboat pot. Lol kawaii~
Cloud has a sugar overdose.. due to overconsumption of desserts.. Hehehehehe..
Currently watching 'Detective Conan SP' -- with Shun Oguri as the teenage version of Conan.. He consumed cake which contained some special liquor & transformed into his former teenage self briefly.. Last week, i watched 'Attack on the Pin-Up Boys' --a Korean movie.. Quite entertaining^^ Love Super Junior's Hee Chul, Kang In & Ki Bum..

Lunch + Shopping with Clover & Sky!!!!!!!!
Oohs, it's been so long since we last went out together wor!~ So glad that our outing yesterday turned out great (expected neh, what else? heheheh.. lunching with 2 mei nvs is of course good^^)
Went to Tampines 1's popular Japanese restaurant Manpuku, it hasn't opened at 11+am, but there was already a queue outside the restaurant... It's that good!?! But considering the fact that we're all currently jobless, lunched at Tampines Mall's food court ---cheaper alternative to restaurant dining.. Moreover, we won't get chased away as weekday afternoons aren't that crowded.. I forgot when was the last time i had dined at that food court, sooo long till i forgot it's existence~ Chatted for more than an hour.. I ate ice kachang with Sky.. I only eat ice kachang as dessert when it comes to eating in foodcourt/coffeeshop/hawker ctr.. Don't usually crave for hot desserts.. But i do like black sesame and tau suan.. Hmm actually i like the you tiao more than the tau suan la.. Hehehehhehe..
Don't know why and how.. We got to the topic of dreams ---not the future lofty ambition, but daily dreams while Zzzzz-ing. Listening to Sky's action movie type of dreams.. Like those of doomsday, Earth's invaded by aliens, she's one of those last survivors... Hiding in a car while getting chased by a dinosaur. One might think she'd watched a lot of this type of movies, but she said she didnt leh.. Wonder where all that ideas came from. Cos theres this saying that people's dreams are sort of linked to what they've been thinking in the day. Clover's 灵魂出翘 type of dream is creepy neh.. She dreamt of seeing herself asleep on the bed.. Watching yourself asleep --this kind of out-of-body experience.. Ooh lala~ All these sound so fascinating to people who don't have dreams (me) at night.. Or perhaps can't remember having dreamt at all. I can't recall a single dream i'd in the past years.. Serious.. I am a deep sleeper, oblivious to loud noises ---once, my mom broke 4 bowls in the morning (i didnt hear a thing, not to mention being awakened), car's security system alarm going off in the middle of the night after being struck by lightning or maybe affected by it's electric current, or the faculty air con that one of my neighbours are using.. producing irritating noises all through the night.
So thats probably why i can survive on 5-6hours of sleep each day for prolonged periods of time.. It's just like the norm to me.. Don't seem to need a lot more sleep since i do get enough rest in that short period. Sky & Clover ended the convo on the topic by asking me to go have a dream that night. I wish la! Don't have leh.. Serious, people may have the impression that i dream of pretty boys frequently given my recent posts flooded with pics of prettyboys. But no, my pretty boy dreams didnt realise. They're abundant on my blog, but not in my head.. DARN
Shopped around TM and Tamp 1.. First time entering Uniqlo!! Hehe.. I like the vibrant colors that their clothes come in.. Being minimalistic in design & material, the store's apparel is to Sky's liking. I tried on a bright pink tunic tee with the words 'DEADLINE IS OVER..' in black.. Hehe.. It matches the purple skinny jeans i'd on perfectly.. This tee will be effective in pissing off your project mates or course mates who've yet to complete their projects which are due soon. But i didnt buy it cos the side seams dun seem 'durable' enough.. Dunno whats that right word to describe, but this sort of side seam will cause the tee to lose shape after frequent machine washes..
And i was the privileged one to use the spacious fitting room which is like double the size of normal ones.. Don't know why they have this special fitting.. For VIP visitors? People like me??? Lol.. There's a curtain door and upon entering, need to take off shoes and step onto the carpeted floor, there's another curtain to be drawn. In other words, it's like a fitting room within a large changing room. All to myself!! Yippee.. But, i forgot to take picture of me in that pretty pink tee in that roomy fitting room.. Baka ne!!!!!!!!!!!!! I simply forgot about it.. Really, or maybe i just wasnt in the mood to take photos? Hmm... Okies, just take it that i'm a considerate shopper who cares about the growing queue of people waiting to use the fitting rooms. Good girl Cloud^^ Baka ne!!!
There's another tshirt/casual wear shop on Level One, seems interesting --a HK/China brand i think.. Cos the clothes design names are in hanyu pinyin instead of Eng or numerals.
Looking forward to next outing.. Not anytime soon cos Sky's returning to China tomorrow.. Woots, we caught her in time man! heheheh.. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
Videos of the same MV i happened to watch days ago~ All parodies of the song Mirotic..
Those nothing-better-to-do-but-highly-creative fans changed the lyrics
This one is good... The fan made Korean sound like some naughty English~ It didnt occur to me that certain pronounciations of Korean words sounds like English.. I only thought i heard the word 'Sushi' sang by Junsu.. The others i didnt notice.. The fan totally transformed the song!^^ Lols..
Mirotic Parody on Changmin's habit of downloading erhhmm videos from online..
DBSK as fridge raiders
It's Changmin as the main culprit.. raiding the fridge, with Yoochun eventually admitting he's the accomplice.. Yeah i know that's based on real 'evidence' ---Changmin & Yoochun are dubbed 'midnight fridge raiders' by other DBSK members.. Strangely through this 2 guys are the thinniest in the band.. So the theory that eating supper makes people grow fat just dont apply to this 2 chaps. Then Jaejoong the best chef in DBSK often wakes up to find the fridge empty.. These bits of details are also included in this parody^^
Similarity between the 2 random parodies i found.. the trouble started with Changmin's wrongdoing.. Do both of this 2 random fans have something against Changmin? Or the problem lies with Changmin himself? He's too much of a troublemaker? Hehehehehe^^
2 Claps~ for those 2 creative fans~

Watched yet another spoof on Wonder Girls' hit songs.. I've previously posted the cute Wonder Baby, dunno whether i've posted the puke-inducing Wonder Man version.. This time, We shall see the SM Entertainment company's singers imitating them, never mind abt the fact that Wonder Girls are from a rival co JYP Entertainment.. Don't think those SM Town guys will get penalised... It's all in the name of fun!~
The main video footage shows Hee Chul aka Rapunzel (cos he used to have really long hair so he looks like Rapunzel from that fairy tale) from Super Junior, the bottom right corner shows 3 members of SHINee (another boyband)singing and the left corner footage shows the original Wonder Girls at a live performance.. How thoughtful the video editor was, let people see see then compare compare~~
Geee... Hee Chul's super good at imitating people lor! Saw another video of him imitating TaeMin from SHINee.. Super good + his own exaggeration makes the whole dance funny^^ He disappeared mid-way.. i wondered where he went, leaving the other 2 'calefares' dancing.. returned to front of camera with a clip on his hair ---he purposely clipped up his fringe the same way as one Wonder Girls member.. Hmm.. talking abt imitating, dancing like them isn't enough for our dear Hee Chul, he wants to look like them too, lols..
The song title's So Hot.. It's funny to see how 3 cute guys from SHINee sing and dance (they imitate the dance steps at times).. when they go 'i'm so hot, hot, hot..' it's kinda weird... this kind of songs only suits girl bands..
Anyway, it's so cute i watched the video twice, first time i was looking at what antics Hee Chul has up his sleeve, 2nd time i watched how SHINee 'performed' the song in their own 'living room' kind of setting..

Yeahs~ Back to FREEDOM!!!!!!! Just completed my exams yesterday evening.. What awaits is 4 months of holidays^^ Need to get a job man~! Sians.. Job market not doing well in recession period.. If not i will rot at home... Cos if no $$ can't go anywhere, stay at home and be a zai2 nv3..
Days of examinations are gone, i know i'm goner liao la.. So difficult nah.. Especially Banking, Econs and Accounting.. My Maths aren't good either.. I wonder how can i go on to 2nd year?? =x
Just watched a movie on the computer, scooting off to watch Boys Over Flowers 1st episode later.. It's rare for such new Korean dramas to debut in Spore!~ *Kim Bum (Yizheng) looks cute!!!! =D The rest of the F4 members dun appeal to me~
Currently watching jap dramas on my soju... Cos currently can't access my dvds ---they're kept in a cabinet and the glass door to the cabinet is in danger of falling off, so i can't open it for the timebeing (i wonder when my dad will repair it)... Haiz, i can't access my music cds too! =x
-RESCUE~ ... drama on firemen, an elite firefighting squad to be exact -Shibatora ... drama on policemen, a baby-faced policeman infiltrating teen gangs to solve juvenile crimes -Mei-chan no Shitsuji ... drama on butlers, in a posh high school for rich girls, where it's a MUST for the each girl to be cared for by a personal butler (all young and male gd-lookers.. hehe what else? it's an idol drama afterall)
