Yesterday morning, it was raining heavily when i woke up, haiz.. what a cool lazy Saturday morning, i wouldnt have dragged myself out of my comfy bed if not for my dance practice.

Yawns..

My Saturday mornings and afternoons are usually spent in the dance studio, starting with warm-ups which can really work up a sweat then comes dance training. And for the afternoons, it's either learning some new dance choreography or wushu practice. Last week, there were both.. Hehe.. Should've blogged abt it last week.

First time i touched the 剑sword.. woahs.. Can u imagine Missy Cloud 耍剑? LOL.. Nice experience though i couldnt execute nice 剑花 (use wrist rotation and swing the sword in the air to create a 'flower'.. but the trick is how not to move the arm.. rely solely on wrist POWER)& 剑云 (similar use of wrist rotation, just that this cloud has to be above the head so need to bring up the sword nicely then wrist POWER again) So at the end of the session, wrist no POWER liao =x

Thought that my right arm and wrist will ache on the next day, but surprisingly, my arm was in perfect condition on last Sunday. Amazing!~

This Saturday had a short session of 'SWORDPLAY' (Miss Cloud becomes 侠女?!!? joking joking..) learning and revising the routines that we learnt the previous week, but i cant remember that much due to my goldfish memory =x But my moves are getting smoother now. Hehe.. but still not that nice, so i wouldnt want to participate in the girls' mass sword competition (sounds weird in english.. in chinese it's called 集体剑..) plus need to train like siao4 prior to the upcoming wushu competition.

Learnt only a little bit more during this session due to time and space constraints (last week we practiced in the hall, this week in the small dance studio, we'd to split into 2 grps... waste time lorh) Haha.. and cos that day got 'special guest' a contestant of U are the One coming in to prepare for his performance in the upcoming semi-finals or is it the finals le? I didnt follow that reality show, so i am not sure. Since the dance studio is taken, no room to do dance choreo this week, just sat at the side and watched.

袁帅...A weird yet easy to remember name, noticed this person from another reality show 校花校草追赶跑. When pronounced in Mandarin, it can also mean 'General', so his name can be quite cool too. Was waiting to see 他真人 帅不帅 cos i dun find him that gd looking on television.
But he looked no different in person. Heehee..
Watched how he attempted to do back flip and some cool moves. Of course witnessed how he failed initially, then slowly improved.. that's what we usually see in the 'behind-the-scenes' footages. First time watching 'live' hahaha.. 3 guys & 1 girl from our dance troupe participated in the preparation too, become those back up dancers kinda thing to make him shine better. Performing alone on a big stage versus performing with or rather, leading a group.. No prizes for guessing which is better.
After Yuan shuai did the back flip, he kneeled on the floor and the girl was supposed to run from behind & leap above him (like doing almost a split in mid-air.. quite cool) but somehow she landed on his head instead. OOPS! Then she tried again, this time on one of the 3 guys... she landed on his head again. So change of plans, asked one of the guys to do the leap instead.

Then they danced (some easy dance steps la) and he's supposed to do some breakdancing. At my laoshi's request, he did once... Kept slamming against the floor lorh.. Bom then bom again~ Hehe.. No wonder he didnt want to do it during the practices.
The latter part of the dance wasn't choreographed yet, so whenever they finished dancing the first part, Yuan Shuai will anyhow do some funny weird moves, then the 4 of them will try to follow.. And it's really hilarious at times, 5 people dancing as though they dont really know what they are doing.

I left the studio at 4pm, since there's nothing much for me to do.. haha.. Yuan shuai was still there, hmm dont know what time they practised until.

Since there's still time before dinner, i went to Bugis Kinokuniya to see if there's any new japanese magazines as well as check out Xiao gui's new book 鬼怒穿.. But too bad all copies of the book are shrink wrapped, cant take a glimpse of this first edition of the book which comes with a single 鬼混. 小鬼actually sounds good in this rock song. Guess he's more suitable for singing rock songs then ballads. I stood around the new chinese books area to read a japanese comic translated by a taiwanese.. 150cm LIFE 3. The japanese author/illustrator's 150cm tall & narrated the pros and cons in life, being a short person & how much she longed to be tall. Really nice book^^ i like the books by this jap author/illustrator!~ As i stood there, many people came by and picked up Xiaogui's new book.. Woots and they seemed to know much about the book before that, so i think Xiaogui's really popular in Singapore too! So i must check out prices at Popular (see if they had ordered the first edition, but usually Kino's faster in importing) and buy at Kino/Popular (whichever cheaper) before the limited first edition book gets sold out!

Walking over to the japanese magazines section. Almost fainted...
Haha, when i saw 3 covers with one of my latest obsessions.. KAT-TUN!
Kino's staff purposely placed them side by side~ Walau! Wanna let KAT-TUN fans get heart attack is it?!?
There comes the dilemma... which one to buy?
Cos each mag costs around $14+, i can only afford to buy one. (i need $$$ to get Xiaogui's book too!)
I randomly picked one out of the 3, hoping that i would like it cos i've no idea what's inside as i cant read the japanese words. Bought Wink Up, cos i saw a couple of english words on the cover which says 'hyper visual magazine for girls'
Eh.. i dun understand what it means.. Japlish is like Singlish.. Only Japanese can understand. Lol..

Remember the book 'Why spiders do not stick to their webs?' that i mentioned in one of my recent posts?
I spotted that book on sale in Kinokuniya!~
Woahs.. $25+...

Shopped a while in Bugis Junction, liked a bag from 77th street which is shaped like a vest.. punk lolita style slingbag with an additional leather 'cover' unzipped to reveal red and black checkered prints. Love it! That bugis outlet is different from other 77th street outlets, it stocked up on lolita styled outfits and lolita & punk style bags. But the price.. is erhmm a lil steep..
So whenever i am free (and provided i remember) i will drop by that store to window shop^^

Surprised to see Hui xuan & Emilie in Basement 1 of Bugis Junction.. but they didnt notice me, and i only saw them when they walked past. So i didnt say hi to them.. it was so crowded there. Hard to squeeze through and 'give chase'.. Heheh..

WHAT A LONG DAY she had!~

Still got more to blog about..
No time le.. next time then!~
Jah neh!
