Started the day happy as i knew i managed to get my meagre pay for my job as a property agent's personal assistant... Hoots.. if not i will bombard the office with calls. Heh since i've already gotten all the office numbers and the mobile phones numbers and was prepared to send an email to ERA to report this property agent. Actually as the personal assistant, when dealing with other agents and buyers, we have to claim that 'We are XXX from ERA'.. oh wth.. we arent even registered agents la~ So effectively we are lying right from the first day of work. Well.. that's also one of the reasons why i dont like the job.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyway, wanna talk about something that happened on Monday in the tuition centre that i'm currently working part time in now. That's the job that i'd held for the longest period of time =D
There's a glass door entrance to the tuition centre. The door was actually opened, then i dunno why one boy went to close the door. Then another boy started howling. (At that point in time i thought some parent brought along their baby/toddler) Then everybody turned & saw in horror that the boy's fingers got stuck in the gap between the door and the wall. That boy who closed the door continued to shut the door unknowingly before one of the teachers pulled it open. But it was too late, the boy could not get his fingers out of the gap.
One of the teachers went to get some soapy window cleaner to spray on his fingers, hoping that they can slip out of the gap while another hugged the screaming boy and tried to pacify him. Oohs.. he was like howling and screaming 'Pain.. pain! hur hur hur..' But only his maid was present outside the tuition centre and she couldnt remember his parents' numbers. So my boss had to flip through the record book to find the poor boy's parents' contact number.
They asked the parents waiting outside to call the security of the shopping centre and some people came to help. Tried to unscrew the door or something but failed. Wanted to pull the fingers away from the gap but was stopped by my boss as it was already too painful for the boy for anyone to touch his fingers. In the end, my boss dialled 995...
Yeah.. Emergency sia!
It didnt take long (and it shouldnt) for the SCDF people to arrive. But the boy's parents arrived earlier and his dad managed to get one finger off the gap. Then after sometime, the Civil Def people managed to get the remaining fingers off the gap. Phews.. And after that one officer checked whether the boy could feel sensations of his fingertips when touched. It seemed that there wasnt any serious injuries to his fingers. Cos it wasnt the joints of his fingers that got stuck, if not his bones may be crushed. My boss almost wanted to ask the SCDF personnel to shatter the glass to shorten the boy's agony. But luckily that drastic measure wasnt needed.
Noticed one of the SCDF people is quite good looking.. young, tall, tanned and in smart navy blue uniform.. heehee..
Okies i know i'm veering off the topic~
One lucky thing is that, the boy who closed the door is that poor boy's elder brother. So heng arh!~ If not there may be one parent scolding another parent case outside the tuition centre cos of their mischievous sons.
All is fine after that.. Phews..
