Went Orchard to shop with Cindy for samarx birthday prezzie

We met at White Sands and had lunch together at a HK cafe on level one. As i took my own sweet time to eat (with braces on, it isn't easy to chew and munch like before) Cindy's looking around.... And she said a girl standing at the payment cashier resembled Si Min. YES! The short-until-can-spike kind of hairstyle really looked like 'Chio Si Mi', i was waiting for her to turn. Cindy called her in a slightly louder voice & she turned --- yeah.. we're right!^^

On our way to Far East Plaza, i saw a familiar face in the orchard crowd, not our friend this time --it's a contestant from 'U are the One', i only remember him as the guy who did the indian dance & the wacky 'sound-effect generation' performance. He's tanned with good physique, but isn't tall.

Went Far East Plaza, as we thought there would offer more choices of affordable gift choices than places like Ngee Ann City and Paragon. Fought hard to ward away the urges of shopping for ourselves by reminding ourselves... 'Samartha.. Samartha... What should we get for her...' Hahahahahah...

Wanted to get a bag for her, but we just couldn't find the shop on the top floor --BY told me about that shop which sells bags at a cheaper price. We scoured the top levels.. Still can't find =x
Walked past several tattoo parlours & the 'yeeeeennnn' 'yeeeeeeen' sounds creeped me out.
Walked past many small cafes or rather food courts & the smell of food was overwhelming (note: i didnt say aroma, it's smell of diff types of food, mixed together in an air con environment..)
Walked past beauty parlours and schools & got a 'sneak peek' at how a beauty class is being carried out, cos they didnt shut the door.
It's the first time that i'd window-shopped through the entire Far East Plaza~~

It isn't hard to notice that there's more than 1 of the same shops around the building --- that goes to show the majority of the people don't shop thru the entire place, such that retailers have to resort to opening more than one shop to ensure that 'one wouldn't miss their shop' hehe... that's just my guess.
As Cindy wanted to buy a pair of shoes, we entered several shoe shops. I counted... We entered 3 different Mondo shops.. LOL.. In one of the Mondo shops, we saw the 唯我独尊guy again. He seemed to come shopping with 3 friends after gym or some exercise class, judging from his attire. Hehe.. He look like a gym or dance instructor in that outfit. One of the ladies bought a pair or two from that shop and he's the one carrying her shopping bag.
Saw them again in other shops on that level~
Why so 有缘?

Oh and i found the other shop that sells lolita/punk stuff in Far East Plaza. All along, i only knew of Harajuku in Level one, now i know there's another one called Blood Romance on level 3/4 (can't remember sia) Saw cute looking platform shoes, but the shoes are so hard (how to wear lei??) haha.. and it seemed to be of poor quality. Well.. nvm.. Now i know why Gladys said she didnt like those 2 shops in Far East.

Cindy finally bought a pair of pointed toe design flats/short heel (i can't remember) with nice plaid patterns. And i got myself a thick belt in metallic bronze colour. Yeah we've gotten what we wanted~ As for what we finally chose for Sam, 无可奉告Secret~~ Just in case, she reads my blog ya~~

Had dinner at basement or is it level one? Ramen Ten.. *Waiting for Cindy to send pics*
Cindy had Chicken Katsu set with maki & drink, while i ate salmon sashimi set with fried gyoza (dumpling).. It's been a long time since i ate wasabi!!! Enjoyed how the wasabi caused a 呛鼻reaction, my mouth isn't fiery hot, but my nose gets the nice jolt. Ooh la la~~

Rushed to Heeren to buy the ice cream cone necklace from Fourskins... I finally bought it!!!^^
After pondering for so long.. should i get the ice cream cone or the ramen bowl?
Heehee.. Yeah i love food!!~
Noticed many people donning big nerd spectacles, either black rimmed (like singer Khalid Fong Da Tong) or in some consipicuous shades. The latest trend is geek chic eh?

On our way back to the MRT station from Heeren, while crossing the road... I spotted Gavril Skaros walking in the opposite direction several metres away. I saw his face for a split second and turned to Cindy & said 'Gavril Skaros! Confirm!!!' But that tall and long legged Gavril walked so fast, Cindy could only see his back view. When we reached the opposite side of the road, we turned & saw that he'd already walked quite a distance on the pavement in the direction of Paragon. Walk so fast wor!!! Long leg 就是long leg..
Cindy said his back view resembled him hehe..
Cos i'd seen his back and side view of his face months ago (i mentioned it in one of my prev entry), this time see front view of his face, i immediately said 'Confirm!' it's him!!!!!! Same as on tv.. LOL..
Eh.. and he's alone -again?!? The previous time i saw him, he's also alone yeah.. When i pointed this out to Cindy, she went 'ahh, u go accompany him lor' Hahahahahaha... Yeah yeah in my dreams hur?

Surprised to see the 2 唯我独尊 contestants in one day. Hehe.. On a Monday afternoon~~
I rushed to work after that... My part time jobs are on alternate weekday nights^^

Gone shopping at Orchard with Missy Mosquito aka YW!~

First, we went to Heeren as YW wanted to get a pair of havianas.. I don't quite understand why she loves num stuff so much, but i dun mind accompanying her to the num shops frequently, cos there's other things to do other than browsing the new items on the shelves. LOL...

This Shervin/Sherwin salesman from num could even remember YW~
He went.. 'oh u were here before right? Also looking for those cartoon slippers... '
I was like wow! YW, see.. u frequent the shops so often, even the person there can remember what u like..
But too bad la, the flip flops u want arent available in your size..

She left her contact no. down and when there's stocks she'll receive a call, but i dun think it'll be that Mr S who'll call lorh.. Haha *urging YW to go back to the shop to check it out soon*

Took many photos at Heeren's level one^^
Tried to get YW to take a picture of me -in the centre, without our bags and other stuff, but somehow she couldnt get my idea.. till i smiled until my smile grew frozen (-.-''')
So, i gave up..

Then i tried a few zipai shots.. mostly on target.... haha..
Though i cant see.. Once again, this blind hamster can take a better picture than the mosquito with shaky hands~ Ok la, should stop suan-ing YW for a moment..

Next, we went to Cineleisure which is just opposite, while we were waiting to cross the road at the traffic light...
BY and Flame were on a bus which drove past us.. BY said she tried to wave to me but then the bus drove away~~ Even if she did, i wouldnt have noticed her... Cos i was busy avoiding air pollution by turning away from a grp of smokers standing near us. It was only when i received her sms that i knew about this coincidence^^

What to when we're in Cine?
What else? Visit num shop to check out flip flops (yes, again.. haha)
The salesman Dominic kept chatting with us, and it's like totally talk crap one la.. Say both of us look like sisters, blahblah..
YW asked me abt a pair of flip flops '美不美,美不美' (her habit.. always keep asking the same question when we're shopping, though i arent exactly into flip flops) Then Mr D replied '美!美!' Me (thinking) eh... (-.-) not talking to you la!
When YW pointed out that she often see many people wear that particular of model of flip flops, Mr D said that's because he wore it, then many people think it's nice, so they bought it. Dots (-_-''') *brrr... cold~~ shivers*

Then he suddenly talked about his boss, saying he's just outside and directed us outside the shop in a subtle manner & identified a man talking on his mobile phone along the row of shops as the num boss. No wonder, he seemed so 'friendly' and kept chatting with us. Cos THE BOSS IS AROUND! Pretending to be hardworking~ Lol..
He asked 'U want to see?', 'Very rich eh...', 'Marry him la..'
HMM.. Funny guy.. Whatever~

Next we went to Crepes and Creme for dessert..
Crepes and Creme and BBQ Chicken now occupy former tenant Cafe Cartel's unit.
Talking about BBQ Chicken.. My Dong Bang Shin Ki endorsed the fried chicken years back in Korea/Japan and i posted a video of the commercial (remember that entry which starts with the disclaimer: WARNING: PLEASE DO NOT WATCH IF U ARE FEELING HUNGRY NOW?) Leaves people with an intense craving for fried chicken... Hoots.. Now the fried chicken chain has landed in Singapore!~

I had Chocolate ice cream (the most popular choice among many people from what i see in the restaurant) in Crepes and Creme. It's slightly bitter with brownie bits in the choco ice cream & decorated with oreo bits and choco fudge. YW chose Berry Crazy, strawberry ice cream with real strawberries inside! Hers is so sweet... I prefer mine.. Haha

Oh how much i love this picture.. YW finally got a picture with the angle right!~
Make me look nice somemore =p
Heehee cos i know i arent photogenic (at all) so the angle at which the pic is taken is super important..

Went Ngee Ann City after having dessert, to go Kinokuniya for YW sister's manga Meru Puri book. Guess Kino sells it at a cheaper price, so there's only 2 copies of 1 out of 4 volumes left. Whereas i wanted to get a learn jap book, wanna learn to read hiragana & perhaps katakana. I can only read kanji (it's just Chinese characters, just that the usage and meanings can be slightly diff)
So when i read jap magazines, i can only read a couple of words in a sentence, hehe so i'm mostly looking at the pictures.

We also went to Wisma Atria for Topshop and Mango (YW's faves)

Next up, camwhore in the washroom~~
YW with her new buys from Mango in a hot pink plastic carrier.

I try to get that toilet sign 'Caution Wet Floor' inside the picture

Lalalala~ I love my outfit of the day!^^

10 june ---Bugis trip with BY!~
Okies, as u can see it's another backtracking entry, no time to blog previously..

Our aim was to do hair extensions in Bugis Street, BY wanted hot pink extensions (she's really into hot pink punk hair) while i was looking for blonde and brown extensions. At $1 per small bunch, i think it isn't too expensive, considering 6-8 bunches are enough to make the colour stand out and shine through.

We were both late (as usual?) haha... I messaged her when my train's at Tanah Merah, then she replied that she's in Dover... I reached slightly earlier than her, cos there's fewer stops from Tanah Merah to Bugis =p

Headed to Mos Burger as BY was craving for the veggie wrapped juicy burger, she has had it 2 days in a row!
After that, we walked to the National Library as BY still had no idea who's the guy from our econs class who got charged in court no matter how hard i try to describe him. So i figured out that seeing his picture in the newspaper might jolt her memory.. Hehe..
Waited for people to finish reading the english newspapers, but one person picked up the papers at the table after another finished reading =x So we tried to ask an uncle to let us take a look at The Straits Times prime section for just a short while. The uncle replied '要看一面五毛钱' We were like dots... But he still kindly let us have a read & upon seeing the picture, BY went 'oooh...' Then we returned the papers to that uncle. That uncle was like '这么快哦!' Yeah.. we're 乖孩子.. we don't lie~

After borrowing a stack of comic books from National Library (that library has a large collection of comic books!~) we left for Kinokuniya as i wanted to buy Xiaogui's book. I took a couple of pics of the book, shall upload and talk abt it the next time^^

We shopped around Bugis Street for around 3h.. it's quite short actually~~ But somehow i managed to buy a lot of things. haha.. BY helped to carry my shopping bags for awhile and she's so comfortable with carrying them that she forgot those bags were mine. LOL. She even thought that she bought a lot of things, until i reminded her that she hasn't bought any (-.-''')
And what's more, she said 'Thank you' when she handed the bags back to me, i was like 'HUR? i thought i'm the one who's supposed to thank her & not the other way round??!'

Me with my shopping bags aka 战利品for the day~

When i reached home, i realised that what i'd bought can make up an entire outfit!~
With a shirt, mini skirt, shoes and knee length socks^^

Talking abt knee length socks..
Kenna cheated by the shop's auntie, kept saying the shops downstairs (with special mention of CATZ) sell stuff at more expensive prices. When we walked by CATZ, i purposely backtracked to check out the prices of similar types knee length socks. Walau eh!!!! They sell at $10 only lorh.. much cheaper than that shop upstairs. WTH. WTF. Don't wanna go back to that shop to buy again!!!
Saw nice skirts at another shop downstairs, similar type of mini skirts (jap punk style with lace deco) like those we bought from the shop upstairs, selling at $15 each! Alamak! The ones we bought cost $39 and after slashing prices (BY's 强项) came to $36. I bought the first skirt that caught my eye... That's what i call一见钟情haha..
BY was stuck in a dilemma over 2 skirts. Coincidentally, she also had dresses made from the same fabric as those 2 skirts. One's a checkered pink-black-gold skirt (same as her lolita dress) and another's a jap style inspired flowery skirt (according to BY who went to Japan a few months back, this type of prints is/was quite popular in Japan). Haha.. She bought both eventually. Those 2 are too short for me, so i don't even need to think..

BY bought several clip-on extensions from another shop. Super nice but it's too expensive for me -$66... Though it can last for more than half a year, cos it's clip-ons, can remove and put on as and when you like.

That's what she looked like after her long black curly extensions. Aiya.. Too bad i didnt take a picture before that. If not can show the BEFORE AND AFTER shots. Haha..
She wants to 走温柔路线by choosing curls over straight hair.. Then all of a sudden, she asked the salesgirl whether they have got pink ones. The salesgirl was stunned for a split second, then replied 'eh... don't have.' I was like 'dots? thot she wanted to be温柔淑女?' She needs to tone down her punk rock inclinations then~~

So in the end i didnt get my extensions done, next time perhaps, now i know where's the shop located in those easy-to-get-lost-maze-like walkways of Bugis St level 1~~

Cloud doesn't really know why..
But she has been going to Bugis on a frequent basis recently..
More posts coming up!~

2 videos that i'd enjoyed 2 weeks ago.. Well.. they aren't exactly videos, the first one is a slideshow while the latter's a snippet of a radiocast^o^

Amazing comparison! Between Japanese and Korean pretty boys.. The person who made this slideshow did an amazing job at putting the right photographs (be it the facial expressions or angle at which photo was taken) to present the similarities.

Eg. like Won Bin-Takuya, Hee Chul (Super Junior)-Kame(KAT-TUN), Jeong Hoon-Tegoshi(NEWS), Changmin(DBSK)-Junno(KAT-TUN)... And putting my fav Jaejoong(DBSK) with Jin(KAT-TUN) together!~ I don't think they look alike anyway, but it's quite refreshing~

This is a radiocast featuring 2 of DBSK members Xiah Junsu & Hero Jaejoong. With U-know Yunho (band leader) doing the voiceover at the start. SUPER HILARIOUS!!!!!

Here's the only picture i have of them together~~ hehe.. Junsu's on the left while Jaejoong's on the right.
Jaejoong's the prettiest of the DBSK lot, this time he finally got to act as the guy -yeah and he really sounded like a 30-yr old man (i can hardly believe it!) while Junsu's starring as the kawaii girl.

It's entirely in Japanese.. Hmm.. i dun understand the language.. but no worries! A kind youtuber toffldhr321 translated the essential part of it~

START:
........................
(cooking sound)
Yunho: Jaejoong and Junko are 24 years old. It has been a year since they lived together. Like always, Junko was cooking breakfast for Jaejoong.

(door sound)
Jaejoong: Ah~Junko, good morning.

Junko: Oh, Jaejoong, good morning...breakfast is ready...

Jaejoong: It smells great. What's for today?

Junko: Today, it's bread, salad, and fried egg

Jaejoong: Eeee~ Junko's fried eggs are good~

Junko: Aee~Jaejoong! hurry..sit! sit! sit!
Hurry! hurry!

Jaejoong: Ah~I'll eat. Eedadakimas~

Junko: Jaejoong, how is it? Is it good?

Jaejoong: It's really good! Junko, you're so good at cooking!

Junko: REALLY~~~??? (so cute..dies...XD)

Jaejoong: really!

Junko: Junko's happy~~~~~~~~

Jaejoong: AH HA HA HA HA HA HA!

Junko: Hey, Jaejoong! I wanted to ask you this before, but you know how an egg has the white part and the yellow part? Which part do Jaejoong like?

Jaejoong: I like...the yellow part. What about you, Junko?

Junko: Me? I like the yellow part too. But, I also like you!!! (Oyaji gag)

Jaejoong: AH HA HA HA HA HA! I'm blushed! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!

.................................
JJ kept repeating Ah ha ha the funny laughter at the end at su's request..
ROFL..

After watching these 2, if u still have some time on your hands, click the mouse with you finger to watch this one ba.. LOL

It's MNET's ranking of Korea's TOP 5 Prettiest boys~~
Don't understand why my Jaejoong's like only no.4 lorh~ Haha.. He should be at least no.1 or maybe no.2.. Cos i know the no.1: Super Junior's Hee Chul is also very pretty. Oh and i dunno why the video just ends at 3 minutes when it's supposedly more than 4 min..
Those guys are prettier than me... *sobs sobs*

13-15 june~~

Had a great time at my dance camp at SFA..

It had been such a long while ever since i went on a camp, kinda sian-ed cos have to pack and bring lots of stuff to camp. Lugging 2 big bags to board the mrt train, attracting many curious stares while trying to navigate my way through the crowd and trying my best to avoid hitting anyone with my bulky bags. Hehe.. I stress on the word 'TRY'..

1st day (fri nite) didnt do much.. Sat in a circle to play games.. Funny & interesting game of Truth or Dare we've had. Herman showed his maturity in thinking by posing several thought-provoking questions that left us with 'Woah.. never once in our lives had we thought of it.' For eg. What u would like to be said in the eulogy at your funeral *touch wood*... In other words, what u want to be remembered as when u leave this world.. HMM..

And Sophie's the 'evil brain' giving ideas for truth questions and dare 'stunts'.. Lol..
But too bad all the other details are 商业秘密--无可奉告.. aha..

Sat's the tiring day with PT in the morning.. Joggging followed by exercises..

After that it's salsa taught by Herman & Wilson.. it's quite fun learning the basic steps and when it comes to coupling up time, i volunteered to be one of the guys cos there isnt enough guys and i am the tallest girl there. But being the 'guy' is tiring cos we've to support the girl's arm and position it nicely in a nice curve (after sometime my arm will 'nua' downwards oops!).

Then laoshi thought us a retro dance.. Dancing to the same track as 袁帅did in the finals. But our choreography is of course, more difficult haha..

Next up is the makeup class by guest instructor Adam.. I have problems putting makeup as i can hardly see my face in the mirror after removing my spectacles. Put 3 shades of foundation though i dunno what i am doing and i didnt put enough to cover blemishes on my face. It's as though i havent put on makeup haha. Don't care la.. When it comes to eyeshadow (my fav!) cos i thought it's the easiest to put. Just dab on 2 shades.. I chose pink to go on the eyelid, picked up purple one when i saw no one using it and dabbed in on the eye area below the eyebrow. Both happened to be in metallic hues^^ and when Yun yun jie asked me to ask instructor for comments (jialat.. i thot sure fail one) he took me by surprise by saying there's good blending and interesting choice of colours that give the Orchid look. Haha^o^

As for the 3rd eyeshadow colour to be added at the corner of the eye, i dunno how it works.. So i didnt try. It's supposed to add more definition to the eye, just like how the 3-4 shades of foundation works to make the face more 3D.

Bollywood dancing time!~ Also taught by Adam who's so good at shaking and shaking. That's the essence of Bollywood dancing anyway. No one, or perhaps maybe several of the pros can catch up him. During the warm up exercise, he told us to shrug and bring our shoulders up then down. Up and down double.. then triple.. then he will go 'vroom' super quick. Eye movement is important too, but given my small eyes, eye movement arent that obvious lor =x

First time trying out Bollywood style dance, it's real fun!!

In the evening, we went swimming in the nearby swimming complex. Swarm several laps and went for shower. Hehe.. my main objective of going to the swimming complex is not to swim, but use the shower facilities as there arent any shower rooms available in SFA. They used pails and scoops to shower earlier in the day.

Night's for playing games.. i was in a half-dazed state of mind already, lacking in sleep from the prev night. So suay-suay got forfeit twice, go out in the centre of the circle to do stupid things.. Whatever..
In another game where all of us were split into 2 groups, i think i dozed off briefly, only to be woken by teammates calling my name. I was 'HUR??!!! WHAT thing?' Don't even know what game i was being chosen to represent the team for. Turned out that it's a scissors-paper-stone game, 2 players start by putting their feet together, the loser will have to take a step forward (the step gets bigger as the game goes on) while the winner takes a step backwards. And the loser will have to make sure his/her toes can touch the winner's toes.

See who has got the longest legs and who can do the split better. Haha.. Now then i know why they chose me to be the first aka strongest player, laoshi always say i'm very tall and have long legs (like real la, haha maybe only in the troupe cos the guys there arent tall)

Beat the 2 guys YW and XL.. When they lost, they received taunts like ooh, 脚短!脚短! as they collapsed on the floor in frustration while trying to do the split (the guys cant do the split la, ok.. neither can i..)
But i lost to ZS, cos i lost the last determining round of scissors-paper-stone. It's ok to lose consecutively at first, just win the last round and the opponent will have to 're-trace' the steps taken by you previously. In other words, do a split and try to reach the furthest distance. I missed by an inch i think... can't help it.. unlike the other girls with dance or gymnastics or taekwondo background, i can't do splits properly.

The next day begins with PT too.. Zzzzz...
Had a short technique brushup class by Xiao yun jie & we proceeded to Talentime.. A display of dances that we'd learnt in the camp to our laoshi. There's supposedly rehearsal time & the actual Talentime's scheduled in the afternoon, but due to the change in plans --laoshi and 4 of the guys have to be at the finals of 'U are the One'. So we ended the camp early, but not before clearing up & 顺便do some spring cleaning to make our dance studio look gleaming clean!~

Though i havent slept much over those few days, i wasn't that tired when i reached home (surprise!) and even managed to finish watching 唯我独尊to see袁帅being crownedU频道代言人. Hehe.. laoshi's right in guessing the winner^^
And i watched how the 4 sleep-deprived, previously stricken with cold or diarrhoea or vomiting guys perform alongside Yuan shuai. Pro sia~~ But i doubt many viewers have noticed them, they are just being the 'extras' to make the main character shine better. Hehe..

[Cloud loves dancing!~]

I've JUST so many things to blog about~~
I wonder when can i finish writing them, haha..

Cos I just came back from a 3day-2night dance camp with my dance troupe buddies, so i havent been online for the past few days. Dance camp's fun!^^ Yeahs..

Plus my Bugis shopping trip with BY on tuesday.. more $$$ flew away.. hehs, i bought so many stuff, (shirt, skirt, knee-length socks, shoes) they can make up an entire matching outfit. And i bought Xiaogui's new book!!!!!!!!!! 鬼怒穿!!!!!!!!!!!! Love it!~ It's the 预购version that comes with his new song's single. Went to Kinokuniya to grab it become it gets sold out (stocks are moving so quickly --within 3 days, the stack of books was halved!)

My bro's pretty busy with his report writing these days, so chances are, i don't get to use the only computer in the house that often. Shall blog more next time, hmm i just updated the previous post on 'shocking news'.. Missed out some details when i was rushing to finish typing the post before i go to work then.

If all goes well, i may be going to sing ktv sometime again this week with Cindy, Sam, XZ... hehe..
From the tagboard, i see that Miss Mosquito also want to go sing kbox.. hehe.. I didnt know got that promotion leh, but i think kbox's +++ can add up to alot. BY also told me about the kbox in Clementi, can sing 7pm-3am for $15 only i think, then after singing can stay over at her new house in Clementi. Hmms.. KTV fever rages on ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Wanted to blog about something else actually, but there's SOMETHING ELSE more important or rather shocking that i must blog about which happened yesterday.

10 june 08.. Morning..
Cloud's eating breakfast while browsing through the headlines of the newspapers..
In The Straits Times main section, she stumbled upon a picture of a familiar face. The walking-out-of-court type of mugshot plastered in the middle of the page. And a question appeared in her sleepy morning mind (*hazy thought bubble*).. Isn't this a guy from my from econs class?!?
Hmm... Speed read through that article for the name.. Alamak got the same english name sia!
So she went to check the yearbook (cos couldnt believe it), and yeah the full name tallies with the one published.

He got arrested months ago for following a woman into a toilet and filming her in the toilet cubicle. WTF! Is he crazy? And the article said he's suffering from obsessive compulsive disorder and was labeled as a 'teen voyeur' (correct spelling?) in the article, who had this condition for 3 years but didnt seek any help. It mentioned that he was an A level student who did well enough to gain a place in university, luckily didnt mention which JC he graduated from. If not tee jay's reputation will go sweep floor (literally translated from Chinese)

I sms-ed several econs classmates...
Got responses like:
'Omg. Serious?'
'R u serious? Omg!'
'Cant imagine sia. He look so decent can?'
'Omg! Izzit XX/06 that Samuel?'
'Is he crazy or something?'
'I must go buy newspaper'
'Thats very bad news!'

I scrolled through the replies and noticed that BY's reply's the weirdest of the lot.
'whoa pro man! thats very bad news!'
I was like dots? What u meant by the 1st line?
Lol.. Turned out that she was still sleepy at 10am when i messaged her, so her brain isnt functioning too well.. Havent switched on la~

It's really shocking news.. Classmate for a year lorh~~~
Though i dun really know him. Talked to him only once or twice, seems like a nice guy.. Hmm.. BUT LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING!
What's more, he was a student leader in school, so i figured out that he must be popular enough to be voted in by fellow schoolmates. With his name and big picture plastered in the newspapers, i bet many ex-tee jay cians and current students already knew about it. The chinese papers was kinder to him, didnt publish his picture and i think few people would recognise his chinese name.

Anyway, for avid readers of my blog (thanks loads dearies for your support and attention!^^) you all will know that i'd put up many entries on my funny econs tutorials in the past. But this guy isn't part of the Student B, C, D, E, F 'clique' who frequently appear in my narrations of class happenings. Also not Student X, Y, Z as they are girls. Maybe as Student A or G at times cos those 2 refer to no one in particular (used when i dunno or cant remember who said that sentence kinda thing).

Cloud says.. Sighes... What exactly happened?? Before the incident, he was working at the airport immigrations, so he should know better that the airport is one of the places in Singapore with a super duper high concentration of CCTVs. (And that's how he got caught --CCTV footages showed him following the woman into the ladies washroom) What was he thinking then?
We never know..............

Sunday, June 08, 2008

Yesterday morning, it was raining heavily when i woke up, haiz.. what a cool lazy Saturday morning, i wouldnt have dragged myself out of my comfy bed if not for my dance practice.

Yawns..

My Saturday mornings and afternoons are usually spent in the dance studio, starting with warm-ups which can really work up a sweat then comes dance training. And for the afternoons, it's either learning some new dance choreography or wushu practice. Last week, there were both.. Hehe.. Should've blogged abt it last week.

First time i touched the 剑sword.. woahs.. Can u imagine Missy Cloud 耍剑? LOL.. Nice experience though i couldnt execute nice 剑花 (use wrist rotation and swing the sword in the air to create a 'flower'.. but the trick is how not to move the arm.. rely solely on wrist POWER)& 剑云 (similar use of wrist rotation, just that this cloud has to be above the head so need to bring up the sword nicely then wrist POWER again) So at the end of the session, wrist no POWER liao =x

Thought that my right arm and wrist will ache on the next day, but surprisingly, my arm was in perfect condition on last Sunday. Amazing!~

This Saturday had a short session of 'SWORDPLAY' (Miss Cloud becomes 侠女?!!? joking joking..) learning and revising the routines that we learnt the previous week, but i cant remember that much due to my goldfish memory =x But my moves are getting smoother now. Hehe.. but still not that nice, so i wouldnt want to participate in the girls' mass sword competition (sounds weird in english.. in chinese it's called 集体剑..) plus need to train like siao4 prior to the upcoming wushu competition.

Learnt only a little bit more during this session due to time and space constraints (last week we practiced in the hall, this week in the small dance studio, we'd to split into 2 grps... waste time lorh) Haha.. and cos that day got 'special guest' a contestant of U are the One coming in to prepare for his performance in the upcoming semi-finals or is it the finals le? I didnt follow that reality show, so i am not sure. Since the dance studio is taken, no room to do dance choreo this week, just sat at the side and watched.

袁帅...A weird yet easy to remember name, noticed this person from another reality show 校花校草追赶跑. When pronounced in Mandarin, it can also mean 'General', so his name can be quite cool too. Was waiting to see 他真人 帅不帅 cos i dun find him that gd looking on television.
But he looked no different in person. Heehee..
Watched how he attempted to do back flip and some cool moves. Of course witnessed how he failed initially, then slowly improved.. that's what we usually see in the 'behind-the-scenes' footages. First time watching 'live' hahaha.. 3 guys & 1 girl from our dance troupe participated in the preparation too, become those back up dancers kinda thing to make him shine better. Performing alone on a big stage versus performing with or rather, leading a group.. No prizes for guessing which is better.
After Yuan shuai did the back flip, he kneeled on the floor and the girl was supposed to run from behind & leap above him (like doing almost a split in mid-air.. quite cool) but somehow she landed on his head instead. OOPS! Then she tried again, this time on one of the 3 guys... she landed on his head again. So change of plans, asked one of the guys to do the leap instead.

Then they danced (some easy dance steps la) and he's supposed to do some breakdancing. At my laoshi's request, he did once... Kept slamming against the floor lorh.. Bom then bom again~ Hehe.. No wonder he didnt want to do it during the practices.
The latter part of the dance wasn't choreographed yet, so whenever they finished dancing the first part, Yuan Shuai will anyhow do some funny weird moves, then the 4 of them will try to follow.. And it's really hilarious at times, 5 people dancing as though they dont really know what they are doing.

I left the studio at 4pm, since there's nothing much for me to do.. haha.. Yuan shuai was still there, hmm dont know what time they practised until.

Since there's still time before dinner, i went to Bugis Kinokuniya to see if there's any new japanese magazines as well as check out Xiao gui's new book 鬼怒穿.. But too bad all copies of the book are shrink wrapped, cant take a glimpse of this first edition of the book which comes with a single 鬼混. 小鬼actually sounds good in this rock song. Guess he's more suitable for singing rock songs then ballads. I stood around the new chinese books area to read a japanese comic translated by a taiwanese.. 150cm LIFE 3. The japanese author/illustrator's 150cm tall & narrated the pros and cons in life, being a short person & how much she longed to be tall. Really nice book^^ i like the books by this jap author/illustrator!~ As i stood there, many people came by and picked up Xiaogui's new book.. Woots and they seemed to know much about the book before that, so i think Xiaogui's really popular in Singapore too! So i must check out prices at Popular (see if they had ordered the first edition, but usually Kino's faster in importing) and buy at Kino/Popular (whichever cheaper) before the limited first edition book gets sold out!

Walking over to the japanese magazines section. Almost fainted...
Haha, when i saw 3 covers with one of my latest obsessions.. KAT-TUN!
Kino's staff purposely placed them side by side~ Walau! Wanna let KAT-TUN fans get heart attack is it?!?
There comes the dilemma... which one to buy?
Cos each mag costs around $14+, i can only afford to buy one. (i need $$$ to get Xiaogui's book too!)
I randomly picked one out of the 3, hoping that i would like it cos i've no idea what's inside as i cant read the japanese words. Bought Wink Up, cos i saw a couple of english words on the cover which says 'hyper visual magazine for girls'
Eh.. i dun understand what it means.. Japlish is like Singlish.. Only Japanese can understand. Lol..

Remember the book 'Why spiders do not stick to their webs?' that i mentioned in one of my recent posts?
I spotted that book on sale in Kinokuniya!~
Woahs.. $25+...

Shopped a while in Bugis Junction, liked a bag from 77th street which is shaped like a vest.. punk lolita style slingbag with an additional leather 'cover' unzipped to reveal red and black checkered prints. Love it! That bugis outlet is different from other 77th street outlets, it stocked up on lolita styled outfits and lolita & punk style bags. But the price.. is erhmm a lil steep..
So whenever i am free (and provided i remember) i will drop by that store to window shop^^

Surprised to see Hui xuan & Emilie in Basement 1 of Bugis Junction.. but they didnt notice me, and i only saw them when they walked past. So i didnt say hi to them.. it was so crowded there. Hard to squeeze through and 'give chase'.. Heheh..

WHAT A LONG DAY she had!~

Still got more to blog about..
No time le.. next time then!~
Jah neh!

Dumplings Festival's coming up!^^

Hehe.. Attended an event organised by neighbourhood RC last sunday in lieu with the Dumplings festival. It's weird to call it the dumplings festival, so crude kinda thing. The same goes to Mooncake Festival. The main thing & all that historical importance behind the celebrations seemed neglected in favour of delicious food. Whose idiotic idea was that???

Anyway, i dun sacrifice my morning sleep for no good reason..
Hehe... cos for a ticket of $3, each person will get to bring home 2 dumplings and enjoy a free breakfast, comprising of a McChicken, apple pie and free flow of McDonald's coffee. But i arent a fan of hot coffee, so 1 cup is more than enough.. Heez.. But if it's iced coffee, then it's a totally different case.. Hmms..

IT'S SO VALUE FOR MONEY LOR!
The McChicken alone costs $2.. Haha..

How can a dumplings fest event be without dumplings making competition?
See the crowd gathering near the competition area~

Ready, get set, GO!

See who can make the most dumplings within the stipulated time..
Heh.. I cant make a proper dumpling even if u give me double their time.
But cant compare u see, some of these aunties are pros la~

Hmm maybe i can compete in another form of competition~
Speed eating dumpling competition!

Yeps.. since i love eating bak dumplings and nonya dumplings (slight diff in taste.. nonya one's sweet while the other's salty)

I think i was too engrossed in taking pics, didnt realise that i was standing next to the MP of my zone. Guest of honour Mr Magad, who brought his daughter along too.. Until my mom told me when we returned to our seats.

The rest of the programme isnt all that exciting as expected.
First time playing mass Bingo game. Everyone's given a piece of paper with numbers, then as numbers are selected by the emcee, we cross out the numbers. Boo.. I managed to make almost a few rows (3 or 4) but each row lack a single number to form a proper 5-in-a-straight-row to win the game. Haiz.. Never mind..

Lucky draw time, always like no luck one leh.. one of the numbers 1167, one of the lucky tickets chosen was 1176. Faints..

Anyway,

HAPPY DUMPLINGS FESTIVAL EVERYONE!

ENJOY EATING DUMPLINGS... and dont forget the origins of this festival, yeah.. it's not solely for eating dumplings..

Started the day happy as i knew i managed to get my meagre pay for my job as a property agent's personal assistant... Hoots.. if not i will bombard the office with calls. Heh since i've already gotten all the office numbers and the mobile phones numbers and was prepared to send an email to ERA to report this property agent. Actually as the personal assistant, when dealing with other agents and buyers, we have to claim that 'We are XXX from ERA'.. oh wth.. we arent even registered agents la~ So effectively we are lying right from the first day of work. Well.. that's also one of the reasons why i dont like the job.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyway, wanna talk about something that happened on Monday in the tuition centre that i'm currently working part time in now. That's the job that i'd held for the longest period of time =D
There's a glass door entrance to the tuition centre. The door was actually opened, then i dunno why one boy went to close the door. Then another boy started howling. (At that point in time i thought some parent brought along their baby/toddler) Then everybody turned & saw in horror that the boy's fingers got stuck in the gap between the door and the wall. That boy who closed the door continued to shut the door unknowingly before one of the teachers pulled it open. But it was too late, the boy could not get his fingers out of the gap.
One of the teachers went to get some soapy window cleaner to spray on his fingers, hoping that they can slip out of the gap while another hugged the screaming boy and tried to pacify him. Oohs.. he was like howling and screaming 'Pain.. pain! hur hur hur..' But only his maid was present outside the tuition centre and she couldnt remember his parents' numbers. So my boss had to flip through the record book to find the poor boy's parents' contact number.

They asked the parents waiting outside to call the security of the shopping centre and some people came to help. Tried to unscrew the door or something but failed. Wanted to pull the fingers away from the gap but was stopped by my boss as it was already too painful for the boy for anyone to touch his fingers. In the end, my boss dialled 995...

Yeah.. Emergency sia!
It didnt take long (and it shouldnt) for the SCDF people to arrive. But the boy's parents arrived earlier and his dad managed to get one finger off the gap. Then after sometime, the Civil Def people managed to get the remaining fingers off the gap. Phews.. And after that one officer checked whether the boy could feel sensations of his fingertips when touched. It seemed that there wasnt any serious injuries to his fingers. Cos it wasnt the joints of his fingers that got stuck, if not his bones may be crushed. My boss almost wanted to ask the SCDF personnel to shatter the glass to shorten the boy's agony. But luckily that drastic measure wasnt needed.
Noticed one of the SCDF people is quite good looking.. young, tall, tanned and in smart navy blue uniform.. heehee..
Okies i know i'm veering off the topic~

One lucky thing is that, the boy who closed the door is that poor boy's elder brother. So heng arh!~ If not there may be one parent scolding another parent case outside the tuition centre cos of their mischievous sons.
All is fine after that.. Phews..

But due to space and time constraints, i only typed the questions in this post, if u want to know the answers (quite detailed.. so dun ask me to type all of them here as that's gonna kill me) find the book yourself.. Hehe.. It can be found in the general section with code '500 MATT' at the side of the book.

It's entertaining, enlightening, often inspired and is a must-read for inquistitive minds.. Yes, i do feel smarter after reading (^o^v)

KTVVVVVVVVVVVVVV!
Yeah baby~ AGAIN~ lalalala~
With Xiuzhen and Yuwen.. My dearie Guides buddies for 4 years.. And not forgetting to mention we were in the same sec 1 & 2 class together^^

XZ who had been a studious student, hadnt been out for a long time. So the newly revamped or rather still in the process of revamping and renovations Bugis Junction Basement 1 looked like Martian land to her. Yeah, it certainly looked different from what i had seen less than a month ago, much less to XZ who hadnt been here for like half a year?!

She missed singing KTV, so we went to the one at Icon building. We reached at around 11am, the receptionist was late (so instead of this lady seated there greeting us cheerily, i see this lady running into a counter) her colleague was the one handling the customers. Well, we were made to wait there with 4 other grps of customers outside as they arent ready yet. Eat into our singing time lorh! Walau, but being the first there, XZ and i were the first to be led into the KTV.

Ohh.. did i mention that the always-try-to-pretend-to-be-studious-but-theres-no-way-she-can-cheat-anyone girl YW was still in school then? Haha cos we went on a weekday to enjoy the $16 per person rate. Cheap cheap yeah~

Heh.. i like the picture above.
Cloud -the supermodel in the making^^
Heh.. I know what you are doing now..
Don't laugh..

YW's V-handsign look somewhat awkward..

XZ.. let's squeeze the daylights out of YW!!!
I dont know why YW made that 'shrunken' pose..
What i knew was, she stepped on my toes when she tried to squeeze in between XZ and me.
That YW isn't exactly light lor, cos my foot hurts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There she's at it again.. Don't know what's she trying to do to camwhore^^

XZ finally got the chance to stand in the centre..
Do Re Mi..
Arranged according to height =D

Sang a whole lot of old songs.. Like Faye Wong's hong2 dou4, zhi2 mi2 bu4 hui3, men4, da3 cuo4 le4, qi2 zi3, nian3, ni3 kuai4 le4 suo3 yi3 wo3 kuai4 le4 and ni3 xi3 huan1 bu4 ru2 wo3 xi3 huan1. Couldn't differentiate between the latter 2 songs as they really sounded similar so i chose the 2 of them. Knew how to sing both songs, with slightly diff styles, nevertheless having a distinct Faye Wong style. Her songs are easy to sing, provided you can catch the tune and learn Faye's lazy-cat-get-out-of-bed-purring-and-cooing style and attitude.

Sang some high songs like Alan Ke's Welcome to my World and lin2 (from the soundtrack of taiwanese drama zhan4 shen2) as well as Danson Tang's ai4 wo3. YW and i arent sure of the lyrics, but when it came to the chorus, we just went 'AI WO!...................... AI WO!' lol.. that's easy to sing and zi4 HIGH.

Yeah spending hours in the ktv requires a mixture of song styles and diff singers, if not will get bored de. Heehee.. now you know why i can stay in there for so long, i know many songs from many many singers (both new and old). Mandarin, English, Korean and Japanese~
Talking abt Jap/Korean songs, we didnt have enough time, if not i will sing a Dong Bang Shin Gi song (that ktv is kind enough to put in songs from their 3rd korean album) for XZ as she couldnt believe that i can memorise the pronounciations of the lyrics. I CAN one lorh, after listening to those tracks repeatedly. Next time okay? And i hope the ktv will put in their latest Japanese album too, so i can sing!! Yippeee!

And for those who know me, u'll know that i know nuts about Cantonese, though i can speak some Hokkien. (i can subconsciously spew Hokkien words without knowing *note, not vulgarities* and if the person i am speaking to also understands Hokkien, i will never know that i spoke Hokkien.. that's how natural i can be)

But this time we sang a Cantonese song.. you3 ji3 huai4
A duet by Edison Chen and Gillian Chung.. WAH! Didnt know they sang together before. LOL..
This song is full of irony~ Right from the song title.. you3 (have) ji3(some) huai4(bad)

I was like saying.. 'ta1 men2 you3 ji3 huai4 orh?? hao3 huai4 loh! '
Take all those obscene pictures~~ Created such a big scandal in the Chinese entertainment industry.
Right till the song lyrics.. Edison sang something like 'i will xiao1 sa2 di4 li2 kai1' which is what he did la! Just declare that he leave the HK entertainment scene. In other words, he can be xiao1 sa2 and leave for greener pastures abroad.
And Gillian sang something like 'I don't want to be hurt by relationships'
Yeah she didnt want it to turn out like this, but the truth hurts and she was hurt cos of her past relationship with Edison. How IRONIC!

Took a picture in the toilet before we left Bugis Junction to go to Bugis Street, where we did some shopping (implies $$$ fly away)
This YW who loves to camwhore but dunno how to take pics properly (HOW IRONIC!!!)

Tried to take pictures of us using the mirror, but in vain. She tried so many times until we got sick of grinning. Heh. So i got hold of the camera and took a picture. And that picture turned out right. AMAZING eh? Considered a feat cos i wasnt wearing my spectacles and my eyesight is as bad as a blind hamster.
Conclusion, even a blind hamster can take a better picture than Missy Mosquito.. Haha..
Jk-ing la.. Dont come and sting me kay Mosquito??
Must practise holding the camera the right way.. it's not a matter of a small palm or shorter fingers.. it's basic handling skills =p

CLOUD's day out with the girls~~

Went to Robinsons Expo sale on the last day, with my mother and brother...
To source for some formal clothes. True enough, i got myself black long pants, black skirt, white long sleeved shirt from G2000. At $19 each, it's a great bargain!^^
Other than those work clothes, i bought sleeveless tops going for $6 per piece.
As for the other sections of the mega sales, i didnt go check them out... Shoes bags section.. nah.. Robinsons brands cant get any cheaper than those from, for eg OG or Metro. Toys and children clothes.. Nah.. I don't need to remind myself of a lost childhood.

Went to Suntec City for the World Book Fair in hall 4. First day! Hehe
Browsed around for sometime but didnt buy any. I am more interested in those logical thinking books, interesting to try them though many a times, i dont have that analytic and logical brain to come up with the answers. There's this Times stall which sells books at real low prices. Hardcover books (cooking, drawing, painting, sports, interior design, DIY, children's books) going for around $10. Cant believe it man!
The color printing alone costs double of that amount in regular shops.
Had a strong urge to bring the 'Cakes and pastries' big hardcover book home ($13 only!) but i have neither an oven to bake cakes nor the baking skills required to make those yummy creations shown in the book. But merely looking at the pictures is enough to cure my sweet tooth-ness.
Hohoh.. my msn nick used to be 'sugar overdose' (for the past week ^^) cos i really ate and drank too much sweet stuff for my own good.
But i cant control myself, had orange juice after lunch and ate a box of Pockey chocolate banana sticks just now =p new creation from Pockey? Hehe.. there's a picture of a cute monkey on the corner of the white and yellow box. Awww.. cute!!~

Headed to Funan IT mall for dinner as the food courts in Suntec City and Raffles City are much more expensive due to the new ambience and prime location.
Unagi and Chicken cutlet bento set with miso soup & slice of watermelon!

Took a walk to Boat Quay and had a glimpse of the night life there.
Restaurants by the riverside that open the outdoor seating area at night line the Singapore River. There's many touts along the street with diff uniforms speaking English or Mandarin with a mishmash of overseas accents. Be in Indian, Chinese, Vietnamese, Philippines~
There's bars buzzing with activities, it's like only 8+pm and the outdoor area outside the bars are crowded with people. Mostly Caucasian expatriates holding exceptionally tall glasses of liquor. All of them are standing around small round tables, or merely standing around and chatting in their small circles. I presume it's part of their culture and they can mingle with people easily by walking from circle to circle. I'd seen expats doing just that previously, but in a hawker centre which looked really weird in the eyes of typical Sporeans. They crowded around tables but none of them are sitting down! Heh.. Sporeans will be the first to dash forward when they see empty seats lorh.. Hehe..
Drinking is like part of their social life.
So walking into the crowd of tall tall tall Caucasians (the people are spilling out from the usual standing area to the walking pavement) is a little intimidating. Basically u dunno where u are heading cos u are blocked by tall people.

Interesting isn't it? Hehe.. As for Sporean Chinese, we prefer to sit around in big tables and go YAM SENG over drinks and eight or nine course Chinese dishes in restaurants or sweat it out by eating hot steamboat.
