Sentosa Flowers 2008

My dad wants to see flowers, so we went, together with my mum & aunt on saturday. 大年初三... haha that explains why i hadnt been blogging much about CNY. Being going out~

It was really really crowded... Full of tourists & locals alike. I think we spent the majority of our time there queueing. Woah sian!
Drove into Sentosa, got directed to the carpark in Sentosa Cove (at one end of the island) then queued to board a bus to the flower display venue under the hot sun (it was around 5+pm.. but still hot)
When we finally reached Imbiah Lookout, we thought that's the end of queuing. Actually it's the start of more queuing -to get into the entrance.
Some kuku architect/landscape designer came up with this stupid design of the entrance, yeah it's nice cos of the zig-zagging slopes up the hill (the venue's on a hilly area) But since the organisers are expecting millions of visitors to the place, they should know better than to ask every visitor to line up in a single file to enter. *Faints* One line of people going up the slope and another line of people going in the opposite direction. This is what we call 人龙.. literally.

Queued like siao... eventually made it up the slope..
Still need to walk a distance before we could see flowers =x

Year of the Rat
Haha.. so there's Professor Rat over there doing some serious reading. Hush hush! Do not disturb!

可爱的毛毛虫!!

Pink pink flowers, i dunno it's name (cos i arent exactly into flowers) but i like

But my favourite is these white rimmed purple flowers.. beautiful!

The sculpture forms a chinese word, one of the many on the top 'storey' of the hilly area

Pink & Red 花海

Merlion in the evening sky~
See how packed the pathway was below?
Hoots luckily we steered clear of that pathway, if not sure kenna stuck inside for ages..

Theme of this year's display..
The board's made of flowers mounted carefully on it to form such a beautiful picture~
See the close-up below, really 3D leh
Cant imagine the time & effort spent on doing this..

After viewing the majority of the exhibits, we left the place via another exit (my dad thought of another way to get out of the place) walked one big round to reach the foot of the hill. I reckon going this way was much faster than coming down via the designated exit, which means more queueing wor..
