Went shopping at GIANT, the giant outlet in Tampines for the first time on tuesday with my parents..

Nothing much leh.. I prefer IKEA opposite, cos there's always new stuff for me to see..
Never been to Courts there too, but anyway those electronics stuff are usually priced out of my reach, so might as well forget it.

Then i saw something, or rather someone.. Hehe.. A cute-looking guy working as a promoter for mandarin oranges, there's a small crowd of uncles & aunties in front of that counter. My parents went to check out the mandarin oranges, cos it's a must to have during CNY (hehe needless to say) I just stood around & watched. Mandarin oranges arent my fav fruits anyway. So i ended up watching the guy loh..
Noticed he has got really nice eyes, big & clear eyes. With an air of innocence, so he looked really boyish and young for his age.
Hmm.. from far look something like that.
See below.. Hehe of course it isn't his pic (i din bring camera with me that day.. even if i did, how am i supposed to take his pic when i'm like 1m away from him)

Quite cute~ Well thats a picture of some Chinese rock band frontman called Kimi, stumbled upon an article on him from a Chinese magazine with a pic that really resembles the guy i just saw. But haiz... I cant find a similar picture and my scanner's on strike (broke down la) so shall just make do with this.

As for hairstyle, i think it resembles Max's.. but way shorter and his hair is black in colour.
The fringe's of slightly diff lengths (luckily.. if not he'll look like some countryside pumpkin/idiot with a straight short fringe of the same length)
Very boy-boy style la. Very straight without the use of hair products..

Maybe the 2nd pic is better.. hahaha... at least got that big eyes and short straight hair look.

Whatever la..
I think i'm just plain BORED.
BORED.
Haha..
But that guy really got very nice big eyes that can talk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*Envy*

So if you happen to be as bored as me or happen to drop by Giant supermarket for some pre-CNY shopping.. go check out the mandarin orange counter inside the supermarket kays? Not outside de, cos outside counter's tended by 2 'ah-bengs'
Shun bian can eat samples of orange peeled by the cute guy if he's still working there. LOL

Cloud's just bored la.. ignore me if u cant stand it

NEW Converse shoes!!!

Lalala~

Got new shoes to replace my old Converse.. The red, black and yellow 'L shaped' (above ankle)one, there's a Germany flag at the side of the shoe. But i didnt buy that shoe cos i support Germany during the World Cup or something, haha i just like the colour combination.. red and yellow on black is just so striking! =p

Wore that pair of shoes almost everyday to school for more than a year, and i subconsciously drag my feet, such that the heel part of the soles were worn out =x

Really loved how it looked.. watched how people walking past would look for more than a split second at my feet.. Never mind DiH and a certain Chinese teacher said it's too ostentatious.. hehe.. just a lil striking only la.. I think my hot pink jacket or big light pink totebag with a lil big-head puppy keychain dangling at the side were more AA (attract attention). Ahhh and there's this shiny white glittery totebag that i'm still using now..

Pics!!!

'True to my AA roots', i got myself another pair of AA Converse shoes~

Glittery gold shoes!!!!!!!!!
Haha bought them at a steal for $49.90 at the recent warehouse sale.. Original price is $129.90 if i arent wrong..
I remembered myself walking into the Tampines Mall Converse outlet upon seeing the glittery gold and silver shoes from the shop window then, picked up the shoes and saw the price tag *faints* so much more expensive than the usual $59.90 can?
The design was available in 3 colours, gold, silver and pink i think. But the nice silver one wasn't available at the sale, if not i would have bought it instead of the gold one.
The material's different from the usual canvas shoes, an additional layer of fabric that's much harder... hehe i started walking around my house in my new shoes on the night i bought it.
CLOUD loves walking around in her golden shoes

Jaejoong's birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

26 jan.. he's turning 22..

His birthday is just an excuse to put nice pics of him on my blog i guess.. hehe..

Love him!!!
So cute!!!

For the uninitiated, Jaejoong's the fav member from my fav boyband Dong Bang Shin Ki from Korea, they sing in both Korean and Japanese. Many people do mistake them as Japanese heehee.

I created my friendster profile page background with a photo of Jaejoong which i really liked, and it has been there since. Lazy to change.. Plus 舍不得~
CLOUD wishes saengirul chukkahamnida to JAEJOONG!

NTU CHEERLEADING COMPETITION
23JAN -it's a long day!!!

My dear friend Samartha invited me to watch her cheerleading competition.. So i went.. Yeah travelled from east all the way to the west ^-^''' Woots so far can? Haha.. But i arent working now, so i have time to go there..

1st time going to NTU.. going alone somemore.. hehe.. no wonder Ling shan say i'm so brave.. Lol.. Met Ling shan at around 6pm in NTU, she told me to take 179 or 179A from Boon Lay Int, but 179A is faster as it heads directly to NTU. So i waited at the 179A queue, luckily i took brochures of both bus services from the interchange as i walked past to be sure of which bus stop to alight... Realised 179A service is only available from 730-930am (-_-;'') gosh.. i'm like waiting for a bus that wont arrive until the next morning~

Happy to see Chee Yun, Wai Mun and Sihui in ntu^^ though i waved and waved to Sisi in the canteen.. she still couldnt see me hehe..

What's a cheerleading competition without stunts? haha.. here's some pics..

The 1st team to perform from i-forgot-what-hall (theres 16 halls in all btw)

2nd team's the winning team from hall 8!!! Samartha's hall~
I like their outfit.

That's how the girls get off the human pyramid.. jumping/flying off.. that's why they're sometimes called 'flyers'.. Kinda scary cos u cant see where u're heading/landing and u really have to trust your teammates

My dearie Samartha in the centre~ U go girl!!!

But she wasnt one of those flyers... hehe..

3rd team.. hall 3.. their bright yellow outfits are really striking

Took me some time to realise my sec sch as well as guides friend's in cheerleading too. Tiffany's the one in the centre, havent seen her since we graduated from sec sch, though she lives near my house. Arent sure if she'd moved now.

This is hall 15 i think... They got 2nd.. Demonstrating the classic move of the day.. Hehe cos i'd seen many teams doing this move.

They have got this retro 881 theme, playing part of a 881 song i think.. They even had their mascot dressed up as a getai queen with ostentatious feather ___ (whats that pink thing called?? cant rmb) and conical bra. Making a grand entrance shown below.. lol

Look darn er3 xin1 right?

After a wonderful performance, cheerleaders showing enthusiasm towards boisterous supporters..

Hall 7 had a wedding theme i think.. I thought the guys' outfit looked like one of a waiter's =p

They'd bouquets of flowers, got a few girls to sprinkle rose petals around and the 'stunt' that drew the most applause was the guys going down on one knee to propose to the girls (in pairs).. Nice sight wor! Mass marriage proposal lol.

The SRC's really packed with people, both of us got to sit on the floor as we came earlier, the rest got to stand to watch. Not that i mind standing, cos i have to sit up very straight yet i cant see very much while seated, so i kneeled to get a better view. My legs became numb and it hurted after kneeling for awhile. Woots.. It's amazing how the Japanese can kneel on tatami mats and 'enjoy' their meals.

Some of them were quite tensed up under the pressure to perform well that they faltered.
Witnessed some collapses -guys failure to lift the girls up, the worst i'd seen was the girl falling off together with 2 guys. (i was seated so i couldnt see how they landed on the floor, i could only see this empty 'space' at where they originally stood.

Watched around 12 teams' cheerleading performance, before leaving the SRC (student recreation centre if i arent wrong) to find jessica. While busy Ling shan left much earlier.
Armed with Ling shan's campus map, i tried to find my way to hall 4 where Jessica's staying. It was 9+pm and the roads were dark and quiet. Suddenly i wondered why am i doing here alone.. hehe.. walked faster.. till i saw a road sign which states 'hall 4, 5, 7' and pointed an arrow to the right side of the road. So i thought that i was at the nearest bus stop to hall 4 and called Jess. But somehow i couldnt get through, i tried sending an sms, but it took just too long that i gave up trying to wait to see the line 'message sent' So how how how.. OMG!!! I cant reach her..

There's a guy sitting at the bus stop so i tried borrowing his phone to make a call, he was surprisingly quick in whipping out his mobile phone =) Oohs thanks thanks!
Dialled Jessica's number at least thrice, but couldnt get through, there wasnt even any ringing sounds. Once the hp screen showed 'no network' and another time it showed 'not allowed' I almost fainted okay? Sheeeetsss.. I asked the guy about it and i think he called a friend to test whether his phone gt network problems, i overheard him saying 'oh 没有啦,打爽的。' before hanging up. Lol..

Then i used my own phone to call Yanqi, call home, call whatever... Alamak cannot leh..
In the end, i had to borrow that guy's phone again (cos he's the only one at the bus stop).. this time call Yanqi to ask her to call Jessica.
Yanqi picked up the call and she said 'ahh Jess' online, i tell her' But before i could finish saying 'i'm waiting for Jess at the bus stop nearest to hall 4, 5 and 7' she hung up on me =x I wanted to ask her whether it's the right bus stop, but when she heard 'nearest to hall 4' she ended the call. So Jess and i ended up waiting at diff bus stops. After waiting for arnd 10mins, i stared at the map again and realised there's actually another bus stop which could be nearer to hall 4 and walked briskly there.

By the time i reached Jess' room it's almost 10pm.. hehe.. Started webcaming with yanqi on jess' laptop.. yeahs so fun!~ Till i forgot about the time and i was still sitting in her room at 11pm. Oops! Even if i could catch the last train, i would definitely reach home after 12. Jess and Yq persuaded me to stay over, so i did.. though i didnt bring anything with me. I didnt expect to stay over in the first place~

Went out for a walk at 11+ with both of them.. Saw many students jogging around the campus. I overheard one guy saying 'i can feel my 菜饭 inside' as he dangled both hands in front of his stomach as he jogged past us. Lols.

Went to Meiling's hall at 12+ hehe the world is so small, all 3 of us happened to know Meiling!^^
The world is so small (part2) Meiling's roomie's from my sec sch and jc.. hehe.. I remembered seeing her around and even which class she was from in AHS. 2 girls staying next door were ex-tee jaycians too~ Their rooms were linked by a shared toilet and since they knew each other well, the 2 doors were open to create a passageway^^
A girl staying next door Xiangting, a cheerleader from i forgot what hall brought a lot of food for them, so i helped to eat the 星州米粉, which was quite oily and salty.. hehe so i ate a little only. Didnt like to eat fried chicken wings, so i didnt touch any.. hehe i prefer chicken drumsticks..
Watched how different the way Xiuhui and Meiling ate chicken wings... it was really funny how Meiling and Sansan pointed at uneaten parts of the chicken wing that Xiuhui was eating to tell her not to waste the chicken wing.

Should have taken a photo of us eating supper while seated on the floor of their room, hehe well.. i was busy eating too =p

Jessica and Yanqi .. yq looked a lil sleepy here..

Me and meiling.. hmm when was the last time we took a pic together? 2 years ago in vjc i think..

Xiuhui with her cute plush tortoise that Jessica and yanqi couldnt keep their hands off from

Chatted and chatted till almost 2am. Woots..
Walked to ADM (sch of arts design and media) with Jess and Yq, it's a really unique building with steep slopping roof, like a hill top (with grass patches surmore). Climbed up a long staircase leading up to the top of the slope, looking up from the bottom of the straight staircase is a lil intimidating. Woowahhh such a long staircase, probably 4 or 5 storeys?? There was a couple sitting at the top of the slope in the darkness, enjoying the cool breeze and nice view. It's a couples' fav spot in campus according to them hehe. Hmm but it's a pity it wasnt a starry starry night.

Walked Yanqi back to her hall before heading back to Jess' hall.. Slept at around 330am..
Woke up at 640am as i was coughing =x Surfed the net using Jess laptop and let her have her bed entirely to herself. Hehe.. 2 thin people can squeeze into a small bed and there's still space =p

It's been a long day~

A lil suay-suay cos of my hp's low batt and missing network, but i was really lucky to have
1) 179 and 179A bus route brochures
2) Ling shan's ntu campus map to navigate in a totally unfamiliar place
3) one guy who happened to be at the bus stop and waited for a bus that took forever to come.. he's not bad looking.. and i told Jess and yq he's a shuai4 ge since he's nice enough to lend his hp to a 'desperate girl in need' lol.. Yanqi offered to give me his number (from caller ID) haha but nvm.. i'd already thanked him that day.

CLOUD had a great time while staying in hall... love my friends~

Last econs tutorial -written someday in Oct 07

It has been a long time.. I reckon time flies real fast even when one is slacking..
Spent sometime looking for the paper that i'd written it on, almost thought i'd lost it..quite sad =x then tadah! Found it!!! Phews~

As i had said this was the last ever tutorial of econs in tee jay, so it's kinda expected that people would pon.. haha.. So the classroom's a lil empty..

Tutor said he uploaded a comprehensive set of notes online and told us to access it to aid our learning.

Student B: 'Cher, that means study that one can already la?

Tutor: Yes, it's more concise than your lecture notes

Student B (declaring his gratitude to the whole world): Wah! Cher! U saved my life!!!!! I think of having to go through those thick lecture notes... can die one..

Then the crapping started.. Topic? Islands.. Very NO LINK leh.. Haha..
Someone asked tutor about buying islands...

Tutor: No money la

Student C: U can go some funny funny country to buy some small island

Student B: Then can name it Mr XXXX island

Tutor: Buy island for what? Play my own survivor there.. Bring in the cameras, film myself, then earn advertising revenue?

The class burst out in laughter~

Tutor: Cos i won't have the means to earn money to import goods

I think someone mentioned coconuts

Tutor: I cut coconuts, cut 25 coconuts exchange for 1 ice cream (narrated this with the chopping motion & an action to show a little cone ice cream)
Then everyday i cut, cut, cut... Imagine me with big hair and big beard, eating 1 small ice cream, not worth it...

After talking on the topic of islands for sometime..

Tutor: Hmm.. how did we reach this topic? Aye this lesson really talk crap.

Class: Dunno leh

Student C: 'Cher do you like to eat crab?

Tutor: I shan't answer this question

==============================

Tutor: The files uploaded are in pdf format

Student C: Pdf files cannot print multiple page right?

Student H: Can..

Student C: How? I cannot leh

Student E: Just press there la..

Student C: Huh???... Where???

Student E: There

Student C: Where??

=============================

Student C: 'Cher, u make your own notes, can take outside sell eh..

Tutor: Cannot.. (mentioned some MOE regulations)

Student C: Then u pass it to me, i go sell & make money, then dont need to study liao

Tutor: I can sue you for copyright

Student C: We split the profits la

Tutor: Then we pretend to fight in court (imitate fighting action), outside court we share profits... both of us will be famous *grins* then just before the judge is about to pass the verdict, we say we settle outside court

Student C: Woah... I'll be famous!!

=============================

Then came the topic of teaching.. I think tutor started it himself..
Tutor: If i were to live my life over again, i wont be an econs tutor, i'll probably teach maths, if i'm still going into teaching
He proceeded to rattle off some mathematical theory with x and y differential..

Student C: 'Cher! Teach maths will teach until vomit blood one

Tutor: Or teach music, i see the piano teacher of piano ensemble (he used to be in charge of piano ensemble in XJC before coming to our sch), like doing quite well *tone of admiration*
Then everyday.. (make the action of playing piano) not bad yeah..

Student C: Music teachers got pretty one anot? Actually i want to learn music one leh, but i want to find pretty teacher

Tutor: U go Yamaha, demand to see a catalogue, u flip through the pics (do a flipping motion) see ahhhh... which one u like...

Student C: What if the pic is like 20 years ago one?

Tutor: Then u quit after 2 weeks, say eh... this timing cannot arh.. i not free..

Someone suggested tutor to be a clown

Tutor made a vague but funny action (i dunno how to describe.. as though he's a performing clown.. accompanied by his sound effect of te3 te2 te1)
After some thought, he said: Hmm.. but a clown can't earn much..

=============================

Before the end of the lesson. Student B asked him a question which i didnt quite catch
Student B: -------------- serious?
Tutor: Ya, seriously

Well, that's the major part of the last lesson, other than receiving our exam scripts, distribution of answer schemes and some notes. My desk became flooded with papers as i was helping 2 of my cg mates who were M.I.A. to collect and sort out the papers (@.@) Woah.. so thick can???

Recorded some of the funny conversations above, but i cant remember all of them, probably cos i was too busy laughing (^o^)
Student B and C certainly made full use of their last chance to crap with our humorous tutor, while Student D ponned lesson (if not B+C+D= whole lotva crap)

Yeah.. I'll miss the funny antics of those handful of students (all those guys.. haha and the majority of the class is made up of guys) Created so much laughter for everyone, kinda disruptive and non-educational, but it's so much fun~ I get stomachaches from laughing too much & too hard.
Though i still dunno some of their names, hurhur i doubt it matters cos they dunno mine too..

Unlike my prev econs class in J1.. so dead.. everybody sit down and copy copy copy.. Once i fell asleep when copying stuff tutor wrote on the transparency. Kenna caught. She looked at me and said 'Don't sleep! What i'm going to say is very important!' Yeah right.. The class is so dead it makes me doze off even i'm writing. Zzzzzzzz...

Can't remember when was the last time i took a photo sticker at those Japan imported photo taking, Japanese sprewing, coins guzzling booths with good lighting, good photo quality & design.
Here's some of the pics of those we'd taken~
Love the teddy bears! Hehe.. I found it cute and hastily chose this layout as we were rushing to take our photos (see prev post)

I took photos of all the photo stickers, i have 5 out of the 6 diff designs printed, but i only cropped and resized these 3. So nice so nice.. Waiting for one of them to scan or take pics of the photo stickers so that i can keep all 6 designs.. Hehe..

The booth that we chose in a haste turned out to be quite good, though most of the nice/cute layouts were better suited for 2 persons. So Alv and i chose 8 which we thought 5 of us could squeeze into. Not much decorations to be done cos the layout and people took up much space on the photo stickers =p

Yeah! Now we all have something to keep and reminsice about the past -the joys we had in pri school and how little they'd changed over the years.. Still as nice as ever!!!

Outing with Pri sch sweetest buddies on 16jan~

Yanqi, Jessica, Dorothy, Alvernia~ It's been a long time!^^

Yanqi, Jess and i reached Dhoby Ghaut on time, while Dorothy and Alv were late, so we went to the Plaza Sing for a walk.. Saw Shan rui at the PS entrance, strolled into Carrefour and saw Shi yu & Nicholas, hehe i only waved to Shi yu cos Nic always dao me, so i didnt bother to even wave or say hi =p Didnt know tee jaycians love to go Plaza Sing..

Yq and jess happily shopping in Carrefour~
And that's just the start of the supermarket shopping trip..

Let's zoom in to see what they are buying --- cup noodles!!!

Yanqi finally found this brand of yummy cup noodles which she had eaten in Hong Kong but couldnt find it in Singapore. So she carted off quite a few back to her hall. We spent quite a lot of time inside Carrefour, cos both of them are staying in hostel and want to restock their 'supplies' whenever they go out. 'Like prison break orh?!' I quipped and yq agreed. LOL
And jess really bought much stuff that she hesitated when yq decided to join the Express lane counter (less than 10 items) to pay for purchases.

We headed to Sushi Don at Hotel Rendezvous for dinner later when Roti and Alv arrived. The previous time i was there with SCG 22 people, i could only watch them eat, so this time i must try a set meal myself!

My cod fish set meal..

Looks 'comprehensive' with fish, rice, miso soup, crabstick salad, pickles, veg salad and fruits.

But compared to Alvernia's salmon & unagi set meal..
All of us 'WOW-ed' when the waitress served her food, saying it's all hers... That's a lot!!!
I was drooling over that big piece of unagi.. hehe.. and mine cost $11 while hers was $13.

I want to UPGRADE!!!!!

Lols~

Jessica posing with her seafood rice
It really looks so delicious that she can't help but be distracted during photo taking

Roti with her chicken teriyaki rice and Yq with her yaki udon.. YUM yum!

Jess, Alv, Me~

The sushi on the conveyor belt behind looks enticing, had fun watching those plates pass by our table and guessing what was on the plates. First time seeing brownies on sushi conveyor belt =p

During dinner, we somehow got to the topic of taking Neoprints in the past, those neoprints taken in pri sch were small and the lighting was often screwed (too bright/too much yellow light) There came the realisation that all of us hadnt taken a neoprint/photo sticker for a long time and we'd never taken one together before.
So after dinner, we decided to take a neoprints together^^
Since we arent sure whether Plaza Sing has a photo sticker shop like Pretty In Tokyo, we stood at the crossroad outside for awhile, pondering where to go. Should we walk to Orchard? Or Bugis? We decided to take a 'risk' and walked to Bugis (none of us has walked there before from Dhoby Ghaut) following Bras Basah Road.
It's such a cool night walk~

By the time we rushed to Pretty In Tokyo in Bugis Junction, the shop's already closing, so we hurriedly dashed into one of the machines and completed taking photos and decorating in record time.. Hoooo puff puff..
But the photo stickers look nice~ Unsurprisingly.. hehe.. Cos all of us are mei nvs~
Shall upload next time when i'm done with the photo cropping and resizing..
But we still cant get enough of taking pics, so Alv placed her camera on the street directory in Bugis Junction. And there comes this series of pictures..
Yanqi the extra part 1 above: Wrong expression

Yanqi the extra part 2 and 3: What's with that gap between her and me? Haha

The solution?
Put her in the centre and squash her in between so she wouldnt be the extra one standing a distance away.. All will be fine? Or so we thought~

We didnt take into consideration that Miss Yq here is also prone to 笑场 when we are doing funny poses
Take 2 of bubble faced girls..Yeah!

Mock catfight

We took whole lot of pics at the prev location, then we found a better backdrop.. Alv placed her camera on a shop counter (closed for business after 930pm) and we continued taking pics ^o^v

Wishing everyone a Happy Lunar New Year in advance!

HIDEOUT CAFE

Bet u never heard of this place? Hehe.. Neither have i, until Yuwen told me about it.
It's a board game cafe in Bedok.... Very near my sec sch... Too bad i've already graduated, if not it'll be fun to head there after school to play board games with friends^^
The location's quite ulu (does that explains the name? Lol), but since i'd once walked by that area almost everyday for 4 years, i can find the place easily^^

Both of us went on Monday afternoon, the cafe's empty.. Really, we were the only customers that afternoon. So the 2 friendly cafe employees joined us in the games, since 2 person cant have much fun in playing board games.

Second one on the left is Cindy, while i cant remember the name of the leftmost girl =x

They introduced the games to us (all look alien to me) many of which was bought online from all over the world~ We played 4 games in the 4hrs there.

Munchkin: a card game which was really cute, fighting monsters and leveling up as you try to beat the monsters. Everyone starts the game as a human & as they draw Treasure cards when they beat a monster, they may get new identities like Elf, Dwarf, Halfling, Wizard. Treasure cards comprises of various weapons, like Friendly Potion (use it to 'befriend' a monster if u cant beat it) and some funny headgear (which only certain people/race like Elves can use it)

The monsters are of different levels, but some of them like lawyer, insurance agent are also included in the lineup of monsters. LOL. Together with Hippogriff (Harry Potter readers should know what is it) and loads of funny monsters (this is what was printed on 1 monster card 'it does not attack female players or male players who had undergone sex-change surgery)

Citadel: a card game that enables players to build districts (game ends when one player builds 8 diff districts) and we get to choose different roles to play which changes with each turn. Assassin, thief, bishop, king, merchant, architect, warlord, magician, these 8 cards. Each character has got different powers and we try to choose the character that best fit or will help in earning more golds to build districts. For eg, the magician can exchange district cards with another character, the thief can steal another character's gold, provided the chosen characters are in play (we dunno who holds what character card in the first place)

I won the Citadel game & the 1st game for Munchkin!~ ^^

Next was a board game Lifeboat: each player has several crew members & a captain in the specific colour chosen, then we put them in 4 different lifeboats of diff colours (4 players) in a random manner. During each turn we use different colour cards to vote for the boat to receive a leak (then vote again to throw out a member of that colour, if the no. of leaks in a boat exceeds that the no. of crew members, the boat will sink), which boat to move forward and players can decide whether to change boats (but there isnt enough places to change anyway)
To win, the player must have the most points accumulated from the crew members & captain who manage to reach the 3 islands (with diff points system)
I somehow won the game too by 1 point i think..

This is the beautiful outcome of our last game of the day. It's called Ticket to Ride. Just in case it isnt obvious enough, we have a map of the United States here, with different cities highlighted. To start, each player will take 3 route cards and decide which train route to take and proceed on to draw coloured train cards which we'll need in other to build the train route. If the route that we choose have X no. of pink tracks, then one has to collect X no. of pink cards to build that section of the track. Haiz... No luck in drawing those cards, 1 red train card deluded me, *sobs* so i cant finish to building the last section of the track. Ended up with one whole stack of colourful cards in my hands.. But not enough red cards and wild cards (can represent any colour) =x

Btw, the blue tracks in the pic were mine, yellow tracks were yuwen's, black tracks were that girl-whom-i -cant-rmb-her-name's, Cindy didnt join in the game cos she went off to fetch her kid.

Woots... Spent so much time talking about how to play each game.

How can i leave the cafe without first taking pics? LOL

Shun bian take pics of others playing. More people started coming in at night, according to the employees. I hope so loh.. hehe if not i wonder how can the cafe survive. They should do more publicity and target sec sch students as there are several schs in the vicinity. Perhaps find one shuai4-ge employee to distribute flyers outside the nearby girls schs or sth.. Hehe.. =p

It's a really fun experience, shall come back again with more friends^^
I find the single student package price of $7 for 4h with free flow of drinks quite affordable~
What's more?
It's in the east, so it takes lesser time for me to get home..
lalala~

Food Fest

Woke up early (7am's like really early for me since i'm in holiday mood now) on a fine Sunday morning~
For...
Volunteer work at Foochow Association's Food Fest.. Starring authentic Foochow food.. Really~ Some of the carnival stall holders are from China, heard one of them saying they arrived in Singapore on Sat midnight and leaving today evening. Thats real fast! Don't even need to check into a hotel. Helped to collect food coupons and the sales of food that i've never heard before =x Oops! Hehe.. cant really explain what is it to potential customers too. Heard of 光饼 and 福清饼 ? Got 2 versions of the latter (sweet/salty) and only those with filling were available for the former. The stall holder said there's meat & onions inside, but when i ate one, i couldnt taste any meat, just got the taste of the crispy oily hard cookie. Sales for the cookies were really brisk, some of the customers dabao a lot of cookies, spending $10-$40 for bagfuls of cookies (cookie with filling sells at $2 each and those sweet/salty ones sells at $1 each) So we were kept busy, didnt even have time to spend my coupons (each volunteer's given $5 worth of coupons)

The majority of the volunteers' from dance/wushu performance troupe werent that busy at their stalls, hehe Sam and i joined them to have lunch in the dance studio upstairs. Eating sponsored chicken rice from a famous Wen Fu Ji for all volunteers at the food fest, also sampling the food they bought using their coupons. 红槽羊肉,米加丸 (‘米加’组成一个我不会念的字。。。吃起来很象 muah chee.. think muah chee served in the form of mini balls),炸年糕(此年糕非年糕,而是包满了吃起来爽口的花生的年糕)The chicken rice's rice is really nice.. hehe.. thats why famous mah.. brand name chicken rice~ Whereas I don't like the taste of mutton, though i like the red hongzao sauce used in the dish, muah chee balls taste good when it's coated with lots of peanuts while the fried niangao's really oily though i love to munch on the embedded peanuts.
HEALTH ADVISORY: TASTY FOOD ARE USUALLY UNHEALTHY.

Slacked in the dance studio for awhile before clearing up and heading to ground floor to see the 2 guys slogging out at the super duper busy stall selling fried oyster cookie/biscuit 砺饼 Well the chinese name sounds so alien to me. I ate one in the morning before the official commencement of the food fest. Oily but delicious especially when it's freshly deep fried. Heehee.. lucky i wasnt appointed there.. Level 2 got air con =p Level 1 is open air de.

Returned to the Level 2 hall not to help, but eat & drink to finish using those coupons which are inexchangable for money. Hehe *guilty* but by it's almost 2pm the crowds thinned. Fish paw (鱼piao2 -i dunno how to write the word) soup when for $4 instead of $5. Then i bought 福州鱼丸the fishballs tasted different from the usual, the 'coverings' were soft and springy not soggy though i find the meat filling a tad too salty. Drank 2 cups of iced milo~
SO FULLLLLLLL!!!!!

Went up to dance studio again, this time to retrieve our belongings.. We were embraced by the aroma of chicken rice the moment we stepped in~ Lol..
Continued slacking and some of them sprawled lazily on hard mattresses in the studio (used in dance, not those soft ones put on beds) having a full stomach makes one sleepy~
Chatted a lot with my new friends from the dance troupe~ They're really nice & friendly people^^ they have regular gatherings like Xmas party, cycling trip and planning a CNY steamboat then chalet during the hols too! No wonder they are so bonded in the big happy family =) Glad to know all of them.

Despite having a full stomach, i ate a KFC pineapple pie which Liling brought -extras from KFC delivery in the morning at her friend's hse.. i suppose~ hehe not last night ba?! Lol.. Still tastes good..

Cloud's getting fatter.. which means???
It's going to rain soon la hahahaha..

Interesting as to know how different people are when it comes to thoughts & perspectives

Got this from Jane's email, thought of forwarding.. then again, i wonder who reads emails on a regular basis (well at least i dun, i wait until there's 10-20 msgs in my inbox before reading them) So i put it up here. Those filled in the blanks by kids are highlighted in italics, while my own creative input is in brackets~

A 1st grade school teacher had twenty-six students in her class. She presented each child in her class the 1st half of a well-known proverb and asked them to come up with the remainder of the proverb. It's hard to believe these were actually done by first graders. Their insight may surprise you. While reading, keep in mind that these are first-graders, 6-year-olds, because the last one is a classic!

1. Don't change horses until they stop running. (u meant until they die is it?!!)

2. Strike while the bug is close. (professional pest buster in the making???)

3.It's always darkest before Daylight Saving Time. (i dun quite get this yeah, but never mind.. next please!)

4. Never underestimate the power of termites. (wow! i've never thought of this, termites can reduce one's beautiful wooden house into ruins)

5. You can lead a horse to water but How? (coerce? cheat? con? whatever)

6. Don't bite the hand that looks dirty.

7. No news is impossible (telling signs of overwhelming news & tabloid reports.. it's everywhere!)

8. A miss is as good as a Mr.

9. You can't teach an old dog new Math. (who teaches dogs maths btw?)

10. If you lie down with dogs, you'll stink in the morning. (written based on experience? this kid has slept with the dogs before? LOL)

11. Love all, trust Me.

12. The pen is mightier than the pigs. (the 2 are just so NO LINK leh)

13. An idle mind is the best way to relax. (*raises both hands in agreement* i always do that =p)

14. Where there's smoke there's pollution. (time to do something about heavy pollution in US?)

15. Happy the bride who gets all the presents.

16. A penny saved is not much. (true.. due to extensive inflation, a penny isnt enough to buy candy)

17. Two's company, three's the Musketeers.

18. Don't put off till tomorrow what you put on to go to bed.

19. Laugh and the whole world laughs with you, cry and You have to blow your nose. (real funny~ but it's true isn't it?)

20. There are none so blind as Stevie Wonder. (in case anyone who dunno who's Stevie, he's a blind singer from US, hmm or i think i should change it to local context... how about using Chen Weilian?)

21. Children should be seen and not spanked or grounded. (good job done in advocating for more children's rights)

22. If at first you don't succeed get new batteries. (i dun think this will work, unless u're a Duracell Bunny!)

23. You get out of something only what you See in the picture on the box

24. When the blind lead the blind get out of the way. (yeah! Danger! Keep out!... But shouldn't u the kind passer-by be lending a helping hand to those blind people?!)

25. A bird in the hand is going to poop on you.

Went to ADIDAS WAREHOUSE SALE on Sunday with Yuwen

Hehe.. Cos i know she loves Adidas stuff, so if i know of a warehouse sale yet dun inform her.. then i'm a lousy friend. But she's the first i msged about it.. Hmm so what does it tell about me?? I'm a GR__T friend!!

As there's only one brand having warehouse sale, it was held in the air con room in the Wing Tai distributor's warehouse. When i came to this place years ago, it was a multi-brand big sale, so it was held in the hot carpark under useless canvas tents.
Bought a hot pink racer back top and black spaghetti strap top, both last pieces which we fished out of the heaps and heaps of clothes. YW bought a black mini skirt and the same black spaghetti strap top and a blue teeshirt for her bro. I wanted to get a nice Adidas jacket for ages, it was really cheap there ($69-$89) but all the sizes were in guys L and XL. Which is super duper big =x
Make me feel so pint-sized =p

After leaving the warehouse, we went over to nearby Heartland Mall in Kovan for late lunch.
Saw a dental clinic with real cool decor~
All black!

So cool! So nice! Reflections=photo opportunity!!!

No shopping lover will get sick of shopping, so after warehouse sales and fruitless window shopping in Kovan, we took a long bus ride to Tampines for more shopping~

Taken in the Century Square shop which YW's sista is working in..
In case it isnt obvious, Yw and i were wearing the same 'sailor' dress.. in diff colours..
But we look so different in the same free sized dress. Tall and not-so-thin vs Thin and not-so-tall.
As i have always said, free-sized stuff for Asian girls are always either too small/tight for me.
But this one is still ok, just fitting.. So i decided to buy the pink one..
Waiting for Yw's sis to help me buy as she has staff discount... Her sis' going to buy the black one. So one fine day when YW successfully borrowed the dress from her, we can wear the same dress out! Hehe.. as if we dun have enough similar/same clothes already~
